In the main event, Jose "Sniper" Pedraza (11-0, 7 KO) and Mexican Gerardo Zayas (21-19, 11 KO) both weighed 130 pounds for his bout, scheduled for 8 rounds.
"I feel good, still comfortable at 130, I saw my opponent in good condition, but no need to worry, Mexico and Puerto Rico make great wars and I'm prepared to face opponents like this, an opponent I do not know, but I prepared for it" said Pedraza, who is represented by Universal Promotions, Gary Shaw Productions and DiBella Entertainment.

Making Moves: Medina & Aquino Signed, Three More Invited To Spring Training

The Dodgers continue to spend internationally with the signings of teenagers Michael Medina and Carlos Aquino out of the Dominican Republic, both of whom Chad covered here.
—–
The Dodgers signed three more players to minor-league deals with invitations to Spring Training: Victor Garate, Mario Santiago, and Ryan Mount.
Garate is a former Dodger prospect who is probably best known for being one half of the package the Dodgers sent to the Nationals in exchange for Ronnie Belliard. His acquisition is the most interesting because of his role as a left-handed reliever.

Current, former Naturals wrap up winter ball stints

SPRINGDALE, AR – In the first four years of the Northwest Arkansas Naturals’ existence, their roster has been dotted with Latin American players representing Mexico, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and even Brazil. While that is no doubt a diverse group, the 2012 Naturals may have to hang a few extra flags.
Cuba, Panama, and Curacao could all find themselves represented on this season’s Naturals’ roster as Northwest Arkansas attempts to cover all of its international bases with respect to baseball-playing nations. The quartet of potential Naturals is led by a pair of intriguing Cubans – left-handed pitcher Noel Arguelles and outfielder Yem Prades – who spent their first full seasons in professional baseball together last season at Advanced Class-A Wilmington, and also includes Panamanian reliever Yeliar Castro and Curacao-born utility player Sharlon Schoo
