Hank Lundy takes on Viktor Postol tonight in Kiev

Knocking out would-be adversaries on foreign soil is nothing new for "Hammerin'" Hank Lundy, but Thursday's challenge could prove to be the toughest, and perhaps most unique, of his young career.
On Thursday, March 21st, 2013 (11:30 a.m. ET) Lundy (22-2-1, 11 KOs) will challenge unbeaten Russian light welterweight Viktor Postol (21-0, 10 KOs) in a 12-round bout for the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) International title at Club Sportlife in Kiev, yet another road trip for boxing's most prolific road warrior.
The 5-foot-11 Postol, ranked No. 3 by the WBC, has only fought once on U.S. soil with the majority of his bouts being held in his native Ukraine, whereas Lundy - a former North American Boxing Federation (NABF) and North American Boxing Organization (NABO) title-holder in the lightweight division who is now ranked No. 9 by the WBC - has made a career out of stealing the show in various venues across the globe. Since 2009, the Philadelphia native has fough...

Mayfield, a San Francisco native, is no stranger to fighting on the east coast. Recently, he was in Philadelphia sparring with Danny Garcia in preparation for Garcia's fight with Erik Morales. On October 1, 2011, Mayfield dominated Patrick Lopez (20-5, 12 KOs) winning a unanimous decision to capture the vacant WBO NABO light welterweight title.

Lundy: I’m going to make an example out of Dannie Williams

War of words between Lundy and Williams continues
With his opponent all but guaranteeing a victory, vocal lightweight champion “Hammerin’” Hank Lundy has issued yet another reply in hopes of ending the banter between he and Dannie Williams before the two settle their feud in the ring later this month.
“This kid is a joke,” Lundy said in response to Williams’ promise that he’ll be “fighting for a knockout” Friday, March 30th, 2012 when the two face one another for Lundy’s North American Boxing Federation (NABF) title in the main event of “All In,” presented by Jimmy Burchfield’s Classic Entertainment & Sports and broadcasted live on ESPN2’s “Friday Night Fights” from the Foxwoods Resort Casino’s MGM Grand Theater in Mashantucket, Conn.

Lightweight knockout specialist "Dangerous" Dannie Williams (20-1, 16 KOs) will break training camp in Youngstown (OH) later this month and head east to challenge North American Boxing Federation ("NABF") "Hammerin' Hank" Lundy (21-1-1, 11 KOs) in the ESPN Friday Night Fights 10-round main event at MGM Grand at Foxwoods in Mashantucket, Connecticut.
As the NABF's top contender, Williams is the mandatory challenger for Lundy's title, a flashy, outspoken Philadelphia boxer, who is rated No. 4 by the World Boxing Council ("WBC"), as well as No. 7 by the World Boxing Organization ("WBO") and No. 12 by the International Boxing Federation ("IBF").

Lundy’s prediction for Williams: You’re going to feel real pain

Reigning North American Boxing Federation (NABF) lightweight champion “Hammerin’” Hank Lundy has heard all the threats from Dannie Williams as the two prepare to face one another for Lundy’s title on Friday, March 30th, 2012 at Foxwoods Resort Casino’s MGM Grand Theater.
There’s speculation that Williams’ vow to “hurt” Lundy didn’t actually come from Williams himself, but there’s no doubt who the voice is behind Lundy’s most recent response.
“Everything Hammerin’ Hank say comes out my mouth,” Lundy said, “and I do [it].
“So, if I tell you I’m going to do something, I’m going to do it. I told David Diaz I was going to knock him out, and I knocked him out. And I’m telling you, I’m going to take your heart, I’m going to crush it up, I’m going to break you down, and I’m going to knock you out.

Dannie Williams Preparing To KO Hank Lundy & Take His NABF Lightweight Title Belt

The most dangerous puncher in the lightweight division, World Boxing Council ("WBC") Continental Americas champion Dannie Williams, sooner rather than later, plans to add the North American Boxing Federation ("NABF") belt to his growing collection.

The NABF crown is presently worn by flashy Philadelphia boxer "Hammerin" Hank Lundy (21-1-1, 11 KOs). The NABF ruled that Lundy make his mandatory title defense against the top contender, No. 2 rated Williams (No. 1 is unrated), but Williams' co-promoters, Rumble Time Promotions and DiBella Entertainment, were unable to successfully negotiate a deal with Lundy's promoter, Classic Entertainment and Sports.

The NABF has ordered a purse bid to be held January 4 with a 60-40 split in favor of the reigning champion (Lundy). Lundy vs. Williams has been tentatively scheduled for March, pending the outcome of the purse bid and, of course, Lundy accepting the challenge.

Lundy Fires Back at Dannie Williams: Stop Kidding Yourself – Talk is Cheap

NABF champ Lundy, promoter Burchfield answer challenge from outspoken Williams
Tired of being earmarked by the contenders in the 135-pound division, reigning North American Boxing Federation (NABF) lightweight champion “Hammerin’” Hank Lundy has a direct response to the challengers questioning his credentials, specifically No. 2-ranked Dannie Williams, who threatened Tuesday to “hurt” Lundy if the two should face one another in 2012.
“Everyone knows ‘Hammerin’’ Hank will fight anyone, anywhere at anytime. This has to stop,” Lundy said. “I’ve proven myself time and time again on the road. Now y’all have to come to me. I went out to Chicago and knocked out the former world champ [David Diaz on Aug. 9]. What more do I have to do to get respect? So, if y’all aren’t coming to Philadelphia, Rhode Island, or Connecticut to fight ‘Hammerin’’ Hank, then we don’t have a fight. I’m tired of going into people’s backyards. It is what it is.”

Lundy vs. Williams has been tentatively scheduled for March, pending the outcome of the purs...

Lundy Ready to Step Up and Get a Title Shot

‘Step up, or step aside!’ Lundy challenges the champions while patiently awaiting title shot in lightweight division
Boxing’s most feared road warrior is ready to turn the lightweight division on its ear in 2012, as long as the competition is willing to accept the challenge.
Reigning North American Boxing Federation (NABF) champion “Hammerin’” Hank Lundy of Philadelphia, promoted exclusively by Jimmy Burchfield’s Classic Entertainment & Sports, Inc., and managed by Ivan Cohen, is on the cusp of a world title shot after a highly-successful year in which he won his second title in April against Venezuelan Olympian Patrick Lopez and closed out ESPN’s latest season of “Friday Night Fights” with a thrilling knockout win over former world champion David Diaz in August.
Having won three consecutive bouts since suffering his only loss in July of 2010, Lundy (21-1-1, 11 KOs) is welcoming all challengers in 2012 with his main focus on a world championship bout against any of the title-ho...

With a wildly successful year officially in the books, Jimmy Burchfield’s Classic Entertainment & Sports is gearing up during the holiday season in anticipation of launching its 2012 schedule.
CES will promote up to 12 world-class championship boxing events next year with shows at venues in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut. CES will also be announcing a highly-anticipated deal with a major television network.
“We are incredibly thankful for all the success we had in 2011, and we’re looking forward to bringing you bigger, better events in 2012,” Burchfield said. “Our team never rests; this is the best team in professional boxing and our goal, as it is with every show, is to get better each time and leave you waiting desperately for the next event.
“During this past year, we crowned champions, celebrated long-awaited revivals, set new benchmarks for excellence in championship boxing, and honored the careers of many of boxing’s best, including our five-time world champi...

Fight Night 2011: Prenice Brewer Edges Emmanuel Taylor, Jerren Cochran Impresses

If you're not into booze, boxing or objectifying women, then Fight Night at the Washington Hilton may not be your thing. But for this reformed frat boy it's become an annual excuse to dust off the tux, break training and push the limits of professionalism while mingling with the fanciest fight crowd you're likely to encounter, all in the name of charity. In addition to the usual attractions (charity auction, Redskins cheerleaders, a host of Boxing Hall of Famers, enough cigar smoke to dim the sun), this year's event on Thursday featured a pair of decent professional bouts featuring fighters with actual potential, a departure from recent years.

Cleveland's Prenice Brewer handed Baltimore prospect Emmanuel "Tranzformer" Taylor his first professional loss in an eight-round split decision that I scored for Taylor. In the other bout Northern Virginia featherweight prospect Jerren Cochran controlled tough North Carolina veteran Jason Rorie over four ro...
