We have looked at tons of mock drafts, some changing all the time while some stay around the same picks in regards to team’s draft needs. In my second mock, I plan to look at the draft from a worst case scenario prospective. This draft class is a little different from the norm in that it is more of a deep class rather than a top heavy class. This situation is beneficial for the Texans as they are drafting at the latter end of each round, starting at 27 in the first round, 25th in the second and so on. So the teams drafting earlier may not have the advantage usually associated with having first shot at the better players.In addition to the Texans regular draft choices they have been awarded Compensatory picks for players lost or gained in Free Agency and they receive these picks on the basis of a convoluted formula promulgated by the NFL and only known to the NFL, but Mario Williams did produce the 3rd round Compensatory pick with the Texans also being awarded a 6th, but prognosticators had ... Jerry Don Gleaton (1957) Lefty reliever for the 1992 Pirates. He was a first round draft pick in 1979 by the Rangers that went right to the majors for one game, before making his minor league debut. Despite that quick debut, Gleaton didn’t spend a full season in the majors until 1990 with the Tigers. That season he posted a 2.94 ERA in 57 relief appearances. Prior to that, he had appeared in majors during parts of nine seasons, compiling a 10-18 4.72 record in 180 games. His numbers slipped in 1991, down to a 4.06 ERA and he was let go after the season.
