Seriously though, congratulations to him, i've never seen the guy look so happy this year. That home run wasn't a lucky one that just cleared either, that shit was crushed. The swing reminded me of Kenny Lofton in his prime. Unfortunately, that is where my love fest for Juan ends. Mainly because I will throw up in my mouth if a 3 for 5 game and one home run means more starts over Ethier or Kemp.

With players like Barry Bonds and Kenny Lofton left unsigned, the MLBPA is investigating the possibility of collusion by teams. In the case of Bonds, he hasn't even been contacted since becoming a free agent. There reason is not collusion, but just common sense.

I managed to dig up the clip from the 2005 season when Josh Beckett ran into the same incident with Kenny Lofton. This time Lofton was with the Phillies. Beckett's quote after that 2005 game? "Sometimes I'm my own worst enemy," he said. "It gets back to wasted energy. I need to just focus on the things I can control. After something happens, you can't control it. It's over. I have a real hard time with that ??" just turning the page."
