Alright, so I was watching the Dodger game the other night when a particular giveaway night they were promoting caught my attention. Just like every other team in MLB, the Dodgers do the whole Fireworks Night, back to school lunch bag giveaway, hat night, and of course, the fan-favorite bobblehead night. Now ordinarily [...]

MLB Salary arbitration figures

"NEW YORK -- A total of 106 players filed for salary arbitration Jan. 12 (x-free agent who accepted arbitration). Players and teams exchanged proposed salaries Tuesday if they couldn't come to agreement on a 2007 contract."

Dodgers RP Joe Beimel Injures Hand in Freak Accident

"I got up, went to the faucet in the bathroom, got the drink, was going to set down the glass, and it slipped out of my hand and I tried to catch it and wound up just spiking it into the sink," said Beimel. "I thought it was just a cut, but when I looked at it, it was really deep. I wish I had a better story, like I was trying to save a baby or something. This is just crazy how it happened."

He needed stitches to close the cut. It's unclear at this point as to whether he'll be on the postseason roster. He had 2.96 ERA on the year.
