Twitter Poll: Do you regret buying a certain player’s jersey?

When the Mets traded for J.J. Putz last off-season, a lot of people hurried out to the store to purchase a new shirt for No. 22. Not even a full year later, it’s likely that Putz is done as a member of the Mets. So I asked my Twitter followers if they regret buying a certain player’s jersey. Here are some responses… PaulsRandomStuf said: I own a Mo Vaughn Mets t-shirt. Do I really have to explain the reason for the regret? ;-) fallacyofromeJH said: Kaz matsui....for obvious reasons Ivan...

As part of season reviews for major league players and top prospect ranking for minor league players, we here at Talking Chop thought it would be a fun idea to get all of our bloggers together with the help of Google Docs and debate the various aspects of each position in the Braves organization.
The participants are, yours truly (gondeee, indicated by MG), yondaime4 (indicated by MF), royhobbs (indicated by DH), and cbwilk (indicated by CBW).

Atlanta Braves Win Half A Dozen In A Row With Ryan Church Hit

The Atlanta Braves sure picked an interesting period of the season to win their season-best six games and stay within five games of a wildcard spot currently owned by the Colorado Rockies.
The Braves won in the final inning as Ryan Church drove a ball past the glove of first baseman Daniel Murphy.
There are 17 games [...]

Planted in right field, hands resting tenuously on his unsteady knees, Ryan Church felt as though the stadium was spinning.

He was nauseous and dizzy following a pair of concussions, and one repugnant thought filled his sleep-deprived brain: Don't vomit.

[Ryan Church] also is happy to be playing with his good friend, Atlanta third baseman Chipper Jones.

"I grew up in the '90s as a big Braves fan. I'll never tell him, but he was my favorite player," he said. "It's cool now to be playing with him."

From ESPN
We always seem to trade for guys who are (a) friends with Chipper Jones and (b) lifelong Braves fans.

Braves trade Jeff Francoeur to division rival Mets for Ryan Church

Wow! Wow!
The Atlanta Braves have traded the once-Golden-Boy, Jeff Francoeur, to the division rival New York Mets for outfielder Ryan Church. I am beside myself. I mean, I knew the Braves would get rid of Francoeur somehow, but I didn't think they'd get rid of him to their biggest rival. The Mets must have indeed been the last resort for Frank Wren.
Church doesn't represent a real upgrade in the power department, though he certainly uses more of his ability than Francoeur do...

Is Ryan Church The Mets Unsung Hero?

It’s funny how things have changed. A little over two months ago Mets skipper Jerry Manuel had all but officially denounced Ryan Church as an everyday player. There were rumblings that Church would eventually be traded. For the next month or so Church fell out of the limelight, rarely earning a start in right field. However, the team began to drop like flies to the injury bug. First it was Carlos Delgado. And then others, including outfielders Carlos Beltran and reserve Angel Pagan that went ...

Ryan Church was cruising around third base and seemingly reached home easily on what would have been the go-ahead run in the top of the 11th inning at Dodgers Stadium. Joe Torre quickly signaled towards third base and the Dodgers threw over to challenge whether Church had touched the base on his way to home. The umpire didn't hesitate and called Church out and the inning ending tied at 2 a piece. The Dodgers loaded the bases in the bottom half of the 11th and Los Angeles won it on the Met...
