New Man of Steel ‘Fate of Your Planet’ Trailer

The third trailer for Man of Steel was just released and it looks like they finally hit a home run with the Superman franchise. The effects look great, the story seems to be intriguing enough, packed with a great cast of Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Michael Shannon, Russell Crowe, Larry Fishburne and we can’t wait to see Micheal Shannon in a badass role fresh off his now infamous sorority girl reading. The only question remains can Henry Cavil carry the weight of the film on his back? Looks like it.

While this list is generally one person’s opinion, having been married to one of the great ‘Tractor Beam’s of Hotness’ for over 23 years, I like to consider myself one of the true connoisseurs of the female form, so this is as much expertise as you’re going to get from a freelance writer.
Here is our list of the Top 10 Hottest Female News Anchors (in reverse order):

10) Susan Hendricks (Headline News/CNN) – Susan Hendricks is the first of our female news anchors. She’s with CNN and CNN Headline News based in CNN’s world headquarters in Atlanta.
‘Between Two Ferns’ Is Back With Some Awkward Star-Studded Oscar Buzz

It had been a while since we’d been blessed with a new mini episode of Zach Galifianakis’ hilariously awkward talk show for Funny Or Die, Between Two Ferns, but Fat Jesus made his triumphant return alongside a handful of A-list guests on Monday.
Joining Galifianakis on the latest episode to discuss (but not really) their Oscar buzz are Jennifer Lawrence, Anne Hathaway, Christoph Waltz, Naomi Watts & Amy Adams. As you’d expect with a lineup like that, it’s pretty damn entertaining. Check it out above.

FTT Off-Topic: Go Cape Yourself

I Am HateMan

As always with FTT O-T, not sports and yada yada yada.In the middle of my Twitter feed today, there was a link to the trailer for the new Superman movie, and as it referenced Amy Adams and I likes me some Amy Adams and was supposed to be utterly awesome awesome awesome, I gave it a spin. Against my better judgment. And immediately regretted it. Gosh, it's dark! And moody! And realistic! And gritty, and edgy, and about as surprising and inventive as a dog licking himself. ONLY EVERYONE THINKS IT'S THE ABSOLUTE TEATS. THE STUPID, IT BURNS...You see, some fifteen years or so ago, I spent money, of my own free will, to watch Arnold Schwarzenegger rattle off ice puns and Uma Thurman prove that even one of the world's most beautiful women in skin tight clothing can be made unattractive through the wanton application of stupidity. And in that moment, some part of me snapped, and I really just didn't want to watch any more damn superhero movies. Ever again.Of c...

Here’s the second ‘Man of Steel’ official trailer showing Superman’s darker, more serious side

Even the logo looks grittier.
Warner Brothers let slip the second official trailer for their 2013 release Man of Steel, the reboot of the dreadful 2006 reboot starring that guy whose name nobody seems to remember. This time round Supes is played by Henry Cavill. The supporting cast is stellar with Amy Adams as intrepid reporter Lois Lane, a goateed Michael Shannon as General Zod, and Kevin Costner and Diane Lane as Ma and Pa Kent. The trailer itself is dark and serious, which is exactly how director Zach Snyder and executive producer Christopher Nolan should take this, seeing that Nolan had pretty decent success resurrecting the Batman franchise by making his three films a journey into the nether regions of humanity.
So, will Man of Steel be successful? For my money the Superman franchise begins and ends with Christopher Reeve and Superman I and II, but being the fringe Supes fan that I am, I’m rooting hard for this film to be as entertaining and intriguing as Nolan’s Batman ser...

Wezen-Ball: Ballplayers and the Women who Love Them by Larry Granillo

	Two not entirely unrelated articles...

If you ever wondered how one might go about marrying a professional ballplayer, you need no longer worry. The good people at Baseball Digest have you covered. Or, at least, they had you covered back in September 1964 when the magazine took a survey of the 83% of major leaguers who were married to find out the answer to that question. With such a large percentage of married players, that left "17 per cent - or exactly 84 - eligible for Leap Year pursuit." The list of 84 eligible players (including hair color, eye color, and ethnicity) was helpfully included in the article.

Now Amy Adams knows who exactly she can ask to marry her! But how would she (or you) actually go about meeting and getting to know these prime marriage targets? As with many Baseball Digest articles of the time, the article was short on exposition but very long on examples. Here are the various hints that author He...
