Birthday babe of the week – Penélope Cruz

Sweltering Spanish bush and standout thespian Penélope Cruz turned 39 on Sunday, April 28. The 5-foot-6, 110 pound Cruz, born in Alcobendas, Madrid, gained tremendous publicity playing the roles of Sofia Serrano in Vanilla Sky and Mirtha in Blow. When not torching the big screen, the woman ranked by Men’s Health as the 32nd greatest trim ever has allowed actors Tom Cruise, Matthew McConaughey, Josh Hartnett, Orlando Bloom and Matt Damon, Czech filmmaker Tomas Obermaier and Spanish musician Nacho Cano to spread her meat curtains. Clipping all of the above, Cruz exchanged vows with the psychopath from No Country for … Continue reading →

One of these guys played for the Celtics and it wasn't Matt Damon

You may remember the scene from the terrific movie Good Will Hunting, where Will ***** with the different psychologists he's supposed to meet with. The funny thing is, and what many people probably didn't know, is the other guy in this scene is George Plimpton, and he once played for the Celtics in a pre-season game.

Much like Alex English playing for the Celtics (and Ahmad Rashad with the 76ers back in the 90s) the NBA apparently used to be much more lenient with who got to play where during pre-season games. Plimpton was an esteemed journalist and a graduate of Harvard, and had the opportunity to play professional baseball and football and write about those experiences. For the 1968-69 pre-season, he got to play with the World Champion Celtics.

He practiced a bit with former Knick All-Star Bill Bradley who prepared Plimpton with dribbling and shooting drills. On defense, Bradley told him to "watch the belly button. The only player with a belly button that sa...

Matt Damon Celebrates World Toilet Day--Do You?

I haven't bothered to check ans see if World Toilet Day (November 19) is a real thing (in this world it would not surprise me), but what Matt Damon is doing here is pretty cool. As a person who has spent a lot of time on toilets I can see where they should be appreciated.

It's the one time in the day where I am almost guaranteed to have some time to myself where I can relax, read...anyway...

It's cool to see a celebratory trying to use his notoriety to bring attention to a serious issue. It's even better when they get creative and do it in a way like Matt does here.

No offense to those who do the usual PSAs, but more often than not those go in one ear and out the other. We've heard the message before, and these days often. That's what makes Matt's message brilliant.

I never would have watched this clip had it not been for the interesting title and the celebrity in it. When I get done with post I'll be checking out the site he mentioned, water.org.

Matt Damon Finally Gets his Revenge on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’

After a long time being ridiculed by Jimmy Kimmel, Matt Damon has finally put him in his place. Which in this case is duct taped to his office chair with a gag in his mouth.
Jimmy has always ran out of time for Matt to appear on his show, but this time he actually hijacked the set with his own flare while Jimmy received heat from all the guests that were welcomed on the show by Damon. To tell you the truth, this airing was actually a lot funnier.
In a semi-roast format that poked fun at Kimmel’s lack of talent as a late night talk show host, Damon welcomed on guests such as Nicole Kidman who gave Kimmel a weird lap dance, Gary Oldman, Reese Witherspoon, Demi Moore, and Sarah Silverman who is actually Kimmel’s ex who had no problem reaming him out for a bit.
Maybe that will teach Kimmel a lesson after messing with one of Hollywood’s greatest stars. But in reality he will most likely just shift his attention to harassing Ben Affleck. Which I would not mind at all.

Matt Damon: Ravens Only Beat Patriots Because of Injuries

Every team in sports has injuries. You’ll never hear a coach say injuries was a reason for a loss no matter how true the statement might be. Think about it: you never heard former Cincinnati Bearcats coach Bob Huggins say that Kenyon Martin‘s blown knee cost him a National Championship. The excuse is made for fans of a certain team and star movie actor Matt Damon proves it.
Damon is a New England Patriots fan, as his team lost the AFC Championship game to the Baltimore Ravens. To me, the Ravens picked them off a year late, but no one on Baltimore blamed Lee Evans for dropping a surefire touchdown pass. But Damon has a reason why the Ravens went to the Super Bowl and not the Patriots: injuries.
Damon says that if the Patriots were completely healthy, the Patriots would be the team going to the Super Bowl.
“Lotta injuries,” Damon said, according to the New York Post. “They couldn’t beat us full strength.”

Matt Damon says healthy Pats would have beaten Ravens

Matt Damon is still in denial about the Baltimore Ravens beat-down of his beloved New England Patriots.

The actor and Boston native still will not admit the Ravens 28-13 trouncing of the Pats in Sunday's AFC Championship game could have happened if New England had been fully healthy.

"A lot of injuries, they couldn't have beaten us at full strength," said Damon as he arrived at LAX last night. His remarks were later posted to the celebrity website TMZ.com.

Damon referenced the Patriots playing without Pro Bowl tight end Rob Gronkowski, cornerback Aqib Talib and running back Stevan Ridley as the main reasons for the upset.

Gronk missed the entire game after re-breaking his forearm last week against the Texans while Talib and Ridley suffered a leg injury and a concussion, respectively, during the championship game.

When asked who he would pick in the Super Bowl between the Ravens and 49ers, Damon stuck to his guns and picked neither.

Matt Damon Says Ravens Couldn’t Beat a Healthy Patriots Team

Celebrity fans aren’t any different that regular fans.
They make delusional statements and make excuses when their team loses. Matt Damon for example on why his beloved Patriots aren’t in the Super Bowl.
“Lotta injuries,” Damon said … “They couldn’t beat us full strength.”
When Damon was asked who he’s rooting for in the Super Bowl — the Ravens or the 49ers — he still refused to acknowledge defeat … saying, “I’m going for a healthy New England team, that’s the best team in the country.”
Every team has injuries, Ravens just laid the smackdown on the Patriots and it wasn’t even close. It was beat down, that they won’t soon forget.

But while doing the podcast, he also took a moment to throw on some special jewelry. Damon put on all three Patriots Super Bowl rings, as well as a red Pats hat, and posed for a photo. The big-time actor and Cambridge, Mass., native, has never made his Boston sports fandom a secret, and when discussing the Patriots, you could tell he was a bit biased. "We'll never see anybody like him again," Damon said of Brady on the podcast.
I love this video for a lot of different reasons – mainly my man-crush on Matt Damon. But it also sort of reminds me of the show “Kids Say the Darndest Things”. It gets you on the edge of your seat just waiting for them to say the most inappropriate and offensive things possible. In the video, Matt plays Santa and tries to convince the kids to ask for a water bottle this Christmas. Hilarity ensues:Matt: If you were stranded in the desert, what would you rather have – this water bottle or Justin Bieber?Girl: Justin Bieber!Matt: You know, Santa is good friends with Matt Damon. I could maybe even get you an autographed bottle.Boy: Uh, who’s Matt David?Matt: Matt David? You’re kidding me.Boy: I know who Ben Afflek is.Posted by Anthony under Videos

Matt Damon Is The New Face Of Animal Abuse

Matt Damon is currently in Mexico for production of his latest film, Elysium, in which he plays an ex-convict with a shaved head (what, I’m not on FilmDrunk’s dollar today), and he decided to go against every travel warning in North America and partake in some local cultures away from his highly-protected hotel suite. Seriously, I know Mexican people who won’t go to Mexico anymore, but Damon wants to party, so who’s going to tell him no?
Unfortunately, the cultural pastime in question was bullfighting, a controversial Latin American “sport” that pits a strangely dressed man with a red cape against a giant, pissed off bull that has already been wounded to make it easier for the dude in the bedazzled Capri pants to win. But while Mexicans love their bullfighting, us cultured folk here in the U.S. of A equally love passing judgment, and I assume that Damon has a huge heap of judgment coming his way.

I haven’t read much of the media backlash and public outcry against the beloved sta...
