Katy Perry rocks out with Rolling Stones (Video)

Katy Perry upstaged the Rolling Stones ’50 and Counting’ tour during her duet with Mick Jagger. Katy Perry rocked out with Jagger in a leather bustier, thigh high boots and….I need to stop right there, I’m getting a little too excited typing about this.
Anyways, Katy Perry wore a tight dress with something that looks like a giant stamp on it. The 28-year-old singer who recently jettisoned Russell Brand is a trending term for having moves like Jagger. That and she’s allegedly doing John Mayer and some other dude right now at the same time.

When talking about Katy Perry and the Rolling Stones, it makes sense to quote Rolling Stone.
The Rolling Stones have been pulling up an all-star cast of surprise guests to join them on their “50 and Counting” tour, with collaborators ranging from Tom Waits to Gwen Stefani. Last night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Katy Perry joined the band onstage to duet with Mick Jagger on the classic Some Girls hit “Beast of Burden.”

MAG: UFC Jon ‘Bones’ Jones Brings Style To L’Optimum France

Jon ‘Bones’ Jones is known for kicking butt in the dangerous rings of the UFC, Jon’s the youngest UFC Champion in history, and Rolling Stones recently called him the “Michael Jordan of the UFC” meaning, no one’s messing with Jon right now. Jon is hot at the moment, and now he’s expanding his ‘winning’ brand into the world of fashion, as he steps outside the ring to grace the cover of french-based mag L’Optimum France. I loved the theme of this shoot, as Jon is clothed in stylish pieces, but still stays true to his traditional UFC look. Let’s check out his fashionable shoot below.

Top Shelf Father’s Day Ideas

So many people complain that fathers are so hard to shop for when it comes to a Father’s Day gift. Apparently these people are unaware of how to get to a liquor store.

Because Father’s Day is a little more special and dad deserves to be spoiled a bit, this year we have sampled a number of top shelf liquors that are out in time for Father’s Day. We sampled the Diplomatico Reserva Rum, Crystal Head Vodka, Casa Noble Anejo and the Four Roses Single Barrel Bourbon.
The one that caught our eye at first was the limited edition Crystal Head Vodka Rolling Stones 50th Anniversary Pack. The limited set includes a bottle of Crystal Head Vodka, a limited edition bottle tattoo and a double CD with an exclusive collection of the Rolling Stones greatest hits from live performances. The 18 songs are exclusive to the Rolling Stones anniversary pack, personally selected by Mick Jagger. Crystal Head Vodka is made with no additives, from the glacial waters of Newfoundland, Canada, and grain grown in t...

Mick Jagger Says Rolling Stones Are Playing in Los Angeles to ‘Make the Lakers Look Younger’

Who knew the Stones keep up with the NBA?
Mick Jagger jumped in on the league-wide joke surrounding the Lakers this week when talking with USA Today about the Rolling Stones’ upcoming concert at Staples Center in Los Angeles.
While most basketball fans know that Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash and the Lakers’ stash of supporting players well into their 30s aren’t exactly spring chickens, Jagger was also ready to make jokes at the purple-and-gold’s expense.
“The only reason we’re here is to make the Lakers look younger,” he said.
He has a point — although, considering the moves that Jagger and his pals can still bust on the stage, maybe the Lakers should sign these Brits up for the layup line.

Even Mick Jagger Is Making Fun Of How Old The Lakers Are

The Rolling Stones started their latest tour in Los Angeles this past week, and while playing Staples they took a little jab at the tenants in yellow and purple. The Stones, who are a bit long in the tooth now, kicked off their ’50 and Counting Tour’ in front of a packed house and performed 23 songs. During a quick break Mick went in on the Lakers while also dropping a little self-deprecating humor.
“The only reason we’re here is to make the Lakers look younger”
When you have a man who was born in 1943 making fun of your age, all you can do is laugh.

Kings defeat Sharks in Game 7, advance to Western Conference Final

The Los Angeles Kings defeated the San Jose Sharks 2-1 on Tuesday night, and the defending Stanley Cup Champions have advanced to the Western Conference Final via a Game 7 win.

If the Chicago Blackhawks win on Wednesday, the Kings will be heading to Chicago, where the Rolling Stones happen to be playing at the United Center on both Friday and Saturday; if the Detroit Red Wings win Game 7 against Chicago, rumors suggest that the Kings will host the Wings on Friday evening.

Mason: Pitino proves to be what Gophers need

MINNEAPOLIS Whether it was played with a sense of humor or if the timing was simply ironic, the Rolling Stones' "You Can't Always Get What You Want" blared on the loudspeakers at Williams Arena just minutes before Richard Pitino was introduced as the next Gophers basketball coach.
I couldn't help but laugh at the timing of the song. Pitino was clearly not Minnesota's first choice to replace Tubby Smith and wasn't on many people's radars when the job opened. The Gophers reportedly were interested in the likes of VCU's Shaka Smart, Iowa State's Fred Hoiberg and former Gophers guard and NBA coach Flip Saunders.
Indeed, as the song indicated, Minnesota did not get the first, second or third choice it wanted.
What the Gophers did get is a young coach (he's just 30 years old) with limited experience (one year at the helm of Florida International is the only head coaching gig on his resume). But if you listened to Pitino speak on Friday, you would never have known eithe

Rolling Stones to Headline 2013 Glastonbury Festival

Rolling Stone Magazine recently reported the Rolling Stones will continue their 50th anniversary celebrations by playing 18 North American shows kicking off in May. The band will keep the party going after that: they just announced on their official app they will headline the Glastonbury festival on Saturday, June 29th.
“We all had such a ball last year, and the energy between the band is so good, we can”t wait to play Glastonbury,” Keith Richards said in a statement. “See you on a summer’s day in England.”
Other acts on the bill for the huge long-running festival, which runs from June 26th to the 30th at Worthy Farm in Somerset, England, include the Arctic Monkeys, Mumford & Sons, Vampire Weekend, Phoenix, Smashing Pumpkins, Elvis Costello, Portishead, Public Enemy, Nas, Tyler the Creator, Alabama Shakes, Jake Bugg and more.

The Rolling Stones To Headline Coachella?

The producers of Coachella won’t be releasing the 2013 line-up until later this month but if a cryptic photo of a big round rock in an empty field on the festival’s grounds is any indication we might assume that The Rolling Stones will be headlining this year’s festival.

Rolling Stone (the magazine) also said that, “The Stones themselves listed Coachella 2013 in the tour section of their mobile app for a brief time late last year, though Mick Jagger told Rolling Stone that he didn’t know how it got there.”

It has been 44 years since the Stones have played an American festival but music insiders are speculating that the band is planning a massive tour to honor their 50th anniversary as Keith Richard said,”We barely got off the starting blocks” when referring to their series of shows in the Tri-State area.
