The Sports WAG Feud That Absolutely Nobody Asked For: Linda Hogan Vs. Anna Welker

This week has already been highlighted by “news” that includes people accusing Beyonce of treason for lip-syncing the National Anthem, Manti Te’o playing the “What would you do?” game with Katie Couric, and Sheryl Crow, of all people, being dragged through the mud over Lance Armstrong admitting that he used PEDs, so I think it’s safe to say that this is quite the slow news week. But then, that’s what happens when you let those lazy football players take an extra week off before the Super Bowl.Speaking of slow news and football players, I’m sure you’ve already read Wes Welker’s wife Anna’s less-than-favorable comments about Ray Lewis after the AFC Championship Game, in which she encouraged people to check out his lesser moments on his Wikipedia page. Of course, Anna (maiden name Burns, which means “fiery when drunk” in Irish) has since apologized, and we’ve heard very little from Lewis himself, making this almost a complete non-story.That is, unless… yes, I think that’s… OH MA

Sheryl Crow Weighs in On Lance Armstrong

Lance being Lance T…
Sheryl Crow was Lance’s girl back in the dog days of doping. Now she weighs in on Lance’s recent confession — “I think that honesty is always the best bet and that the truth will set you free,” Crow told Entertainment Tonight’s Nancy O’Dell. The Grammy Award winning singer said she caught “bits and pieces” of Armstrong’s interview on OWN last Thursday and Friday. To See the Video continue reading.-TO

Report: Tiger Woods Asks Ex-Wife Elin Nordegren to Remarry Him

It’s no secret that the dissolution of Tiger Woods‘ marriage to supermodel Elin Nordegren set off a chain of events — beginning Thanksgiving 2009 — which precipitated perhaps the hardest fall from grace an athlete has experienced since O.J. Simpson. Moreover, given the details that came out regarding Woods and his harem of lovers — the text messages, the deception, the sheer number of women — reconciliation with Nordegren was probably never on anyone’s mind. Except Woods’, apparently. According to reports, the former No. 1 golfer has been desperate to win Nordegren back, and on Christmas actually got down on one knee and formally proposed, new ring and all, to his ex-wife. But whether or not they’re actually getting back together is still up in the air. Woods has apparently offered Nordegren a $200 million prenuptial agreement — about one-third of his net worth — but the Swiss model is holding out for a $350 million cheating clause. She won a $110 settlement in her initial divorce f...

Suddenly Lance has gone silent

The inspiration of Lance Armstrong is a powerful thing. I did not come to this conclusion watching him win the Tour de France seven times, hook up for a while with Sheryl Crow or by slipping on those once-ubiquitous yellow Livestrong bracelets.

No, this revelation dawned on me as I walked down to the beach Thursday morning and watched the sun rise over the Pacific. Really, it did.

Later, it sunk in as I watched Joe Biden smile so much he pulled a facial muscle because he really likes Paul Ryan, "my friend," so much.

Really, he does.

This is the power of Armstrong. I mean, Tim Tebow may have a legion of believers, but thus far one of them is not Rex Ryan. If Armstrong said he could quarterback the Jets, Ryan would let him call his own plays, too.

To believe in Armstrong has always required an article of faith that was as elastic as -- and considerably thicker than -- a pair of cycling shorts.

Yes, he had been an inspiration to cancer victims and survivors all around the world, an accessible roc

Sheryl Crow interogated by federal agents on Lance Armstrong doping investigations

Last week, Lance Armstrong announced he would not contest performance enhancing charges against him by the United States Anti-Doping Agency. New reports revealed federal agents interview Armstrong’s former fiancé Sheryl Crow, which is leading many to suspect could have been the smoking gun.
The seven-time Tour de France winner was stripped of his titles and received a lifetime ban. While Armstrong maintains his innocence, many questioned why the most dominant athlete in sports would not attempt to clear his name. Crow was subpoenaed in late 2011 in the agency’s two-year investigation.
After battling steroid allegations for the majority of his career, Armstrong said, “There comes a point in every man’s life when he has to say, ‘Enough is enough’. For me, that time is now.” This week, Armstrong’s former teammate Tyler Hamilton is releasing a memoir,“The Secret Race: Inside the Hidden World of the Tour de France, Doping, Cover-ups and Winning at All Costs.”

5 Sports That Officially Do NOT Get You Women

I think it’s important to educate the youth of America on the benefits of participating in sports. Children today need to understand the full spectrum of benefits that come with being an elite-level athlete. However, it’s important to know the fruits of some sports aren’t the same as the fruits of others…
In terms of finding women – if Unathletic has done anything in our day, we’ve proven that elite athletes of certain sports, no matter how you look, can snag you a seriously hot broad. Some sports you wouldn’t even think of, like Golf or Tennis, BUT there are other sports that clearly DO NOT get you women.
Hit the jump to check ‘em out..
5.) Bowling

This should come as no surprise to anyone. Professional Bowlers aren’t the best athletes in the world. However, you can make good money, you’re on TV, and you’re considered a professional. Only problem – women aren’t knocking down your door.
4.) Pro Cycling

Lance Armstrong was like the Babe Ruth of Pro Cycling – His track record is S

Dorial Green-Beckham: The Recruit That Launched Gary Pinkel's Helicopter

When it comes college football coaches, Missouri's Gary Pinkel comes off as one of the sport's more milquetoast personalities. I always picture him tooling around Columbia in a Chevy SUV, driving a couple miles an hour under the speed limit and grooving to an "office rock" radio station (Sheryl Crow, Hootie and the Blowfish, Blues Traveler, etc.) or maybe a Steely Dan CD.
So you can imagine my surprise when I saw that College Football's Least Interesting Man hadn't pulled up at the school of celebrated recruit Dorial Green-Beckham in a Silverado. Instead, Pinkel showed up at in a helicopter, Tom Selleck-style. (Dave Yost, Mizzou's offensive coordinator and certified bro, clearly loves playing Higgins to Pinkel's Magnum.)

Worst loss: 37-30 at Arizona State (Sept 9th)

Despite having to break in a new QB I thought Missouri had a chance to be the surprise team of the Big 12 this season. However, that was not to be the case as they started out the season winning just four of their first nine games. It wasn't a case of them being uncompetitive, as they lost four of the five games by ten points or less (their only 10+ point loss coming at the hands of Oklahoma State). Missouri was able to string together a three game win streak at the end of the season, including a game where they held Texas without a TD for the first time since 2004.
