The Diamondbacks entered the 2009 draft with 4 extra draft picks in the first round and the 1/2 sandwich round, and came out of the draft with 37 out of 55 picks signed. Kieth Law ranked the D-backs as having the best draft in 2009, and other reviews of the Diamondbacks' draft have been positive as well. Eric Byrnes has the right idea about the MLB's drug testing policy. Really, the tests aren't a big deal for players who are willing to comply with the steroid policy — as Byrnes said, "It's a great thing. They can test me every day, I could care less." However, while steroid testing is currently helping to clean up baseball's image, there are downsides to the policy. Byrnes isn't wild about the fact that the testing procedure requires him to urinate into a cup while a testing official observes.

I am Eric Byrnes. Are you? Well?maybe, not so much me, but this guy Eric O'brien from Tucson, AZ is Eric Byrnes. He also got to meet him and appeared on The Eric Byrnes Show. I blogged about this a few weeks ago, when EB was having his look-a-like contest. I have to admit though, this guy is spot on. He is Eric Byrne's look-a-like.

Ah there is a certain quality about Eric Byrnes that just makes you like the guy. It's probably his hang-lose attitude off the field, and his 100% intensity on the field. Either way, is there anyone out there who can say they don't like EB? I doubt it. This, just makes me like him more. Rock on EB!
