      <title>St. Louis free agents: Restricted and unrestricted players at the NHL and AHL level</title>
      <description>The Blues are just days removed from a disappointing playoff exit. Though the pain is still fresh, it's never too early to start planning for the future. It's never too early to start examining what went wrong and what can be improved to secure the elusive Stanley Cup. Now is as good a time as any to start discussing player contracts.

	This summer is going to be an extremely interesting one. The Blues have some key contracts expiring and will have to be make some very difficult decisions when it comes to which players stay in St. Louis and which will be allowed to test the open market.&#160;

	With that, here's a list of all of the NHL and AHL&#160;free agents in the St. Louis organization.

      <title>Blues assign 27 players</title>
      <description>ST. LOUIS  St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has assigned 24 players to the Blues' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen. In addition, the club has assigned three players to their junior or European teams. 

The players assigned to Peoria include goaltenders Jake Allen, Paul Karpowich and Mike McKenna; defensemen Taylor Chorney, Ian Cole, Mark Cundari, Cade Fairchild, Scott Ford, Brett Ponich and David Shields; and forwards Jay Barriball, Cody Beach, Adam Cracknell, Stefan Della Rovere, Evgeny Grachev, Philip McRae, Andrew Murray, Anthony Nigro, Anthony Peluso, Jaden Schwartz, Tyler Shattock, Brett Sonne, Vladimir Tarasenko and Sebastian Vannstrom.

The players assigned to their junior or European teams include goaltender Jordan Binnington (Owen Sound Attack, Ontario Hockey League), defenseman Jani Hakanpaa (Espoo Blues, Finland) and forward Ty Rattie (Portland Winterhawks, Western Hockey League).</description>

      <title>Blues re-sign Porter, Peluso and Sonne</title>
      <description>ST. LOUIS  St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has re-signed forwards Anthony Peluso, Chris Porter and Brett Sonne to one-year, two-way contracts.

Peluso, 23, played in 61 games for the Blues' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, Peoria Rivermen this past season, posting nine points (four goals, five assists) and a team-leading 159 penalty minutes. The 6'3&quot;, 235-pound forward and native of North York, Ontario, was originally drafted by the Blues in the sixth round, 160th overall, in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

Porter, 28, appeared in a career-high 47 games for the Blues this past season recording seven points (four goals, three assists). He also played in two games for the Rivermen, tallying one assist and two penalty minutes.
