Pictures of the uniforms were released today and a press release detailed the inspiration behind the new kits. For the second straight season, Army will be wearing uniforms specially designed by Nike Football when it takes the field against arch-rival Navy on Saturday. This year’s uniform design pays tribute to the year 1944, which included the first of the Black Knights’ three straight national championships and the United States’ World War II victory at the Battle of the Bulge. The Black Knights will sport black jerseys with black pants, gold shoes and gold helmets.
