Golden Nuggets: Nervous, but confident... enough

Well folks we're one day away from the game against the Seattle Seahawks. I'm nervous, I'm not gonna lie. I have faith in my 49ers to win, and I even think they have the potential to win big what with the disarray and the way the 'Hawks are playing lately, but I never feel completely confident about a divisional matchup. I mean come on, when the 49ers played the Rams at home I wasn't even completely confident, I was at that game and I just had a bad feeling in the pit ...

Andre Dawson May Have Been An Expo, But The Hawk Will Always Be A Cub

Looks like COI is back to the Cubs (enjoy the new header, Lazy). So much for the Bears season helping us forget about the awful Cubs season, so we look forward, much as we do as Cubs fans. I'm not sure what the weather is like in IL, but the cooler (in AZ talk that means 70 degree highs) weather in AZ can only mean one thing, Spring Training is right around the corner. And since the Cubs won't be moving out of Valley till 2012 anyways (HA! GOOD LUCK FL!) that means another year of tai...

I'll hand it to baseball for this: It does its best to drag the news cycle, which at this point is neither kicking nor screaming nor breathing, all the way into December, when the trade and free agent markets give it a lift. Friday the Hall of Fame ballots were announced, warming the cockles of sportswriters everywhere. There have been interesting ballots and there have been Chinese-curse interesting ballots, but try as I might, there is almost no Cardinals news to wring out of t...

Robert Brewster's rookie season has been washed out because of a torn pectoral muscle suffered in the off-season conditioning program, but he remains on the physically unable to perform list.

After Sunday's game the Cowboys could activate him off PUP and start a three-week window in which he could practice with the club and possibly return to the lineup. It's not going to happen.

Brewster said he will be able to start lifting weights for his upper body in two weeks and he was ta...

by Jim HenryFiled under: Ball State, MACBrandon Crawford doesn't have any special plans for his 33rd birthday. It falls on a Sunday, an off day. He'll attend church, have a nice dinner, and probably listen to some music before he calls it an early night. Work cranks again on Monday. Bad news for rookie tackle Robert Bewster. From Mickey Spags:

Third-round draft choice Robert Brewster has suffered a torn pectoral muscle while lifting weights in the post-minicamp training program, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones confirmed, and the subsequent surgery to repair the injury leaves him unavailable for the start of training camp.
