      <description>Kalin Lucas led Michigan State with 18 points as the Spartans beat Grand Valley State, 76-53, on Monday night in the final exhibition contest of the season for MSU. Draymond Green posted his second double-double in as many exhibition games with 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Raymar Morgan (ankle), Chris Allen (groin) and Delvon Roe (head) sat out the game due to injury.</description>

      <title>Michigan St. RB Winston to have knee surgery</title>
      <description>Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio says running back Glenn Winston needs season-ending knee surgery.

Dantonio made the announcement Sunday, a day after the Spartans won 24-14 at Illinois.

Winston&amp;#39;s right knee buckled and he had to be helped off the field and carted to the locker room at halftime after running for 69 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.

Winston had 60 carries this season for 204 yards rushing, ranking second on the team, and two scores.
