Week 7 NittanyWhiteOut Poll Preliminary Ballot

The following is my Top 25 ballot for the NittanyWhiteOut Top 25. When you have a myriad of 1 loss teams with quality as well as horrendous losses, it is impossible to rank them without some form of controversy. We as fans love to criticize the coaches' poll and AP voters for their ballots, but try it sometime. Other than your favorite school, try filling the other 24 slots in the Top 25. There will always Team A that lost to Team B but beat Team C who Team A trounced earlier in the season. What you are left with is a clusterfuck of a good estimate of a Top 25...

Volunteers Offense Continues To Struggle In Loss To Georgia

The Tennessee Volunteers traveled to Athens for a Saturday afternoon game against the No. 10 Georgia Bulldogs with thoughts of getting their season turned around. But the Vols weren't able to turn much around as their offense continued to struggle, losing to Georgia 26-14.

BCS #1 falls, ranking system is hopeless

Once again the NCAA BCS ranking system will crown a new #1 college football team for the 4th time this season. Georgia and USC both lost their #1 ranking after inconsistent play. Coach Bob Stoops and the Oklahoma Sooners will join the others after losing 45-35 to the 5th ranked Texas Longhorns in a mid-season Big 12 showdown which took place earlier this afternoon. Both the Coaches poll and AP poll will have a new team in the top spot, but there are no clear front runners. Though useful at times, the college football ranking system is biased...............

the mighty sooners defeated!!!!

which puts my favorite college team smack dab in #1, or so one would assume!

there are a lot of arguments flying around about texas now being #1.. by texans, lol. i just read an article stating texas has 2 big wins. one over oklahoma and the other over.. are you ready for this.. colorado buffaloes!

now, just out of curiousity, how can you even compare alabama with a team that's second best win was against someone who can hardly stay in the division, lol. alabama cruised through 2 victory against ranked teams, texas not so much. beating the sooners by 10 points is not showing real authority or domination.

i know it's hard to swallow, but nick saban was worth every dime the tide paid for him and it's just too damn bad your favorite team missed the boat on him.

This week has tougher games so the challenge is better, but the real question is whether or not the SEC Officiating will.....

NittanyWhiteOut's Top 25

I also don't think that having preseason rankings mean anything, and that we should wait until midseason before polls start. You look at a team like Wisconsin, they're #24 in the coaches poll but have looked pretty bad the last couple of weeks, especially in a devastating loss at Michigan...
