The St. Louis were looking to add some size to their offensive line, and may have just signed the biggest player in NFL history.
The Rams and coach Jeff Fisher just signed 6’10″ 403 pound Terrell Brown out of Ole Miss. played sparingly with the Rebels during his three-year Ole Miss career. Brown played just two games in 2012 at offensive tackle and eight games in 2011 as a defensive tackle.
Brown was reportedly signed as a defensive tackle by the Rams, but according to

Jocquell Johnson was considered one of the top offensive linemen in his home state of Mississippi when he graduated from Callaway High. Johnson was forced to take the scenic route through the Mississippi junior college system. After a strong freshman campaign at Co-Lin, Johnson has elected to accept an offer from Mississippi State over options from Jackson State, Ole Miss and others.

Dan Mullen Calls On Some Old Friends To Fill His Depth Chart Needs

The talented, always informative, and when-does-he-sleep Bill Connelly of SB Nation fired up his writing and stats machine to profile Mississippi State under Dan Mullen in his ongoing "10 Things To Know" series. The series, which is nicely sucking up the mass of free time until football starts, focuses on a team's level of play in the past few years and whether or not said team's fans should be hopeful or even bother getting out of bed next season.

His conclusion about Mullen and my thoughts on Mullen are pretty much the same. Mullen has made Mississippi State a competent football program and, barring a meltdown of meltdowns, will not allow State to slip back into the final days of the Jackie Sherrill and the Sylvester Croom eras.

But, Mullen has also sort of started to level off, which is not necessarily a bad thing. He's trimmed away most of the terribleness, and now has State sitting in a position that, with the right mix of talent, experience, fa...

Ole Miss Football: Rebels improving, not ready for next level

There's no doubt that Hugh Freeze has Ole Miss heading in the right direction, especially after the team's first seven-win season since 2009 and one of the top recruiting classes for 2013.

But even with a lot of buzz and some lofty expectations for the Rebels this fall, the second-year coach knows the difficulties that lie ahead in what is arguably the strongest division in college football (SEC West).

Ole Miss opens up on the road against Vanderbilt before playing Southeastern Missouri State at home the following week. However, the Rebels then face what looks to be the most brutal stretch of games for any team in the nation: at Texas, at Alabama, at Auburn, vs. Texas A&M and vs. LSU.

"I wasn't real crazy about the schedule when it came out and I saw it," Freeze told College Football Live. "But it is the hand we're dealt. We certainly aren't going to sit around and whine about it or complain about it, but we can easily be a better team...

LSU’s Raph Rhymes finishes inside-the-park homer with unintentional somersault

In the bottom of the 6th inning in their Thursday game against Ole Miss, LSU outfielder Raph Rhymes hit shot to the gap that got under the glove of outstretched Rebels centerfielder Auston Bousfield, and ended up going all the way to the wall. Rhymes got on his horse and bypassed the easy stand-up triple for a chance at an inside-the-park home run. The relay throw home was off the mark which caused Ole Miss catcher Stuart Turner come up the line, which resulted in Turner unintentionally taking out Rhymes at the knees, sending him head-over-heels.
The Tigers leftfielder landed hard but still managed to touch home plate for the inside-the-park homer, which put LSU up 5-o at the time, en route to their 7-1 victory. The win gave 47-7 LSU 22 wins in the SEC , which tied the single season team record set in 1986 and 1997.

There is no need to be in camo on the football field. I have a feeling that Hugh Freeze would never allow this.

This one comes from an undisclosed stop on Mississippi State's annual Road Dawgs meet and greet tour, where the Bulldogs' head football coach Dan Mullen was asked to sign an expectant mother's ultrasound. This is going to be awkward in eighteen years when the kid signs his or her letter of intent to go to Ole Miss.

Kennedy given raise, extension

Mississippi basketball coach Andy Kennedy has earned a raise and an extension to his contract after leading the Rebels to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2002.

The school said Friday that Kennedy's contract has been extended through the 2017 season and will pay him a base salary of $1.8 million annually, which is a raise of $500,000 per year. The school also says the contract includes incentives for Southeastern Conference regular-season and NCAA postseason success and a 40 percent increase in the budget for his assistant coaches and support staff.

Ole Miss tied a school record with 27 wins this season and advanced to the third round of the NCAA tournament before losing to LaSalle.

The 45-year-old Kennedy is 152-87 in seven seasons with the Rebels.

Henderson loses his cool with fans

Marshall Henderson flipped out – or flipped off – at the end of Mississippi's 76-74 loss to La Salle on Sunday. The volatile shooting guard flipped off the crowd at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Mo., adding another chapter to his combustible college career.

But is there more to this than Marshall Henderson being Marshall Henderson? From what he's saying, it just might be.

Marshall Henderson gave fans the double-bird. Why? Because, he said, somebody called his sister a ***** and yelled something about cocaine.

-- Gary Parrish (@GaryParrishCBS) March 25, 2013 Maybe that's why Henderson reacted the way he did.

But this isn't his first run-in with fans this season. Just ask Auburn.

Marshall Henderson earned national recognition during last week’s SEC Tournament after making headlines and becoming a YouTube sensation through his crazy antics following consistent buckets against some of the nation’s top-talent. Well, he’s back at it again, and with even more people “following” his every word.

Henderson’s definitely soaking in every aspect of the NCAA Tournament spotlight. Whether this cockiness will turn him into the next tournament sensation has yet to be seen, but one thing we do know is he isn’t backing down from anyone.

Mississippi's Freeze receives raise, extension

OXFORD, Miss. -- Mississippi football coach Hugh Freeze has received a one-year contract extension and a 500,000 raise, increasing his base salary to 2 million per season after leading the Rebels to a bowl appearance in his first season.

Freeze was hired last December and signed an incentive-laden contract that included a 1.5 million base salary. His new contract lasts through 2016 and includes a 100,000 bonus per Southeastern Conference win, beginning with the second victory of the season.

The Rebels improved quickly under Freeze, ending a 2-year postseason absence by finishing with a 6-6 record. Ole Miss plays Pittsburgh in the BBVA Compass Bowl on Jan. 5.

Ole Miss also announced a 12.5 million upgrade to the school's practice facility. Additionally, the salary pool for Freeze's assistants will increase by 10 percent.
