Rhymes got on his horse and bypassed the easy stand-up triple for a chance at an inside-the-park home run. The relay throw home was off the mark which caused Ole Miss catcher Stuart Turner come up the line, which resulted in Turner unintentionally taking out Rhymes at the knees, sending him head-over-heels. The Tigers leftfielder landed hard but still managed to touch home plate for the inside-the-park homer, which put LSU up 5-o at the time, en route to their 7-1 victory. His new contract lasts through 2016 and includes a 100,000 bonus per Southeastern Conference win, beginning with the second victory of the season.
