USC will send their #1 pitcher, Nolan Belcher, to the mound. This year's SEC tournament has a new format. On the first day 8 teams play 4 games. The losers are eliminated, and the winners join the top 4 seeds in the main bracket. The 8 teams that remain are divided into two (predetermined) sides of 4. For the second year in a row the Lions go after a player with injury concerns. In 2012, they drafted WR Ryan Broyles who was coming into the NFL with a newly rehabbed knee. This time, they select Slay who tore his meniscus during the off-season.
