Oklahoma's 2009 season will long be remembered for the number of key injuries the team sustained throughout the year. On Tuesday, the All-Big 12 was littered with Sooners who managed to survive 2009's trials and tribulations.

Some of the biggest and most important contributors to Oklahoma's success in 2009 weren't the players with the highest honors, as Ryan Broyles, Demarco Murray and Jeremy Beal all received second-team honors

Let there be light for the citizens and the state. No this isn’t an excerpt from a Barack Obama speech. It’s a tale of two stories. It represents two different paths that a young basketball player from Mississauga, Ontario chose to pursue. ‘Let there be light’ is the University of California’s official motto while ‘For the citizens and the state’ represents Oklahoma U.
Miller is ready for more in stretch run

It's seems Oklahoma has been developing playmakers on the offensive side of the ball during the last few weeks of the season. Demarco Murray and Ryan Broyles have stepped to the forefront for Landry Jones recently, but one player who appears to be on the verge of breaking into that category is Dejuan Miller. Miller talked about his emergence this week and his role in the offense as the Sooners hit the home stretch

Sooners lose 3 more starters for rest of season

The Oklahoma Sooners will be without senior guard Brody Eldridge and senior defensive end Auston English for the rest of the season.

Coach Bob Stoops said late Monday that neither will return after suffering injuries during Saturday's 10-3 loss at Nebraska.

Eldridge sprained an anterior cruciate during the game while English ruptured a tendon in an ankle.

The Sooners have now lost four players to season-ending injuries, including Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Sam Bradford.
