TNA Impact Wrestling results and May 16 recap

I am not looking forward to this week’s episode of Impact. It reportedly got the lowest rating since TNA Wrestling’s failed “Monday Night Wars, Part 2”, and those were some of the worst episodes ever.

Goldberg Has Words for Triple H, Comments on a WWE Return

- A fan on Twitter asked former WCW and WWE star Bill Goldberg if he could spear anyone in WWE, who would it be? Goldberg replied and said Triple H:
“Hunter…..hands down…..RT”
The fan replied with the following tweet and Goldberg said his observation was “spot on”:
“any particular reason or just the overall doucheness and politicking he exhibits?”
Another fan asked Goldberg when he would be coming back to WWE. He replied, “When they learn how to run a business.”
Finally, a fan asked Goldberg if he would come back to WWE and feud with Ryback. The former World Heavyweight Champion replied, “…..if they knew how to do business I’d consider it…..”

Chokeslam the debt 2014!

We here at TVF love wrestling. One of the biggest personalities on WWE is wrestler Glenn Jacobs, better known as “Kane”, a loveable(?) giant whose character has recently been involved in fantastic storylines involving a love triangle, an unlikely partnership and a championship, albeit a tag team one. Now picture that same man, wearing a suit and going to Congress. No it’s not the plot of some Adam Sandler movie (yet), but rather an intriguing possibility in Tennessee. Via Reason: “…sources close to the one-time World Heavyweight Champion World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) superstar…is ‘open to the possibility of considering a primary campaign against Sen. Lamar Alexander’ for the Tennessee Senate seat (Alexander) has held since 2003.” Jacobs, a Libertarian who in the past has been a rather large (no pun intended) supporter of Ron Paul, has neither confirmed nor denied the rumor that he would be open for running against Alexander. We all know the stereotypes associated with wrestler...

WWE Endorse Concussion Research, Kane Running For Senate? Booker T’s Status, Justin Credible Update

WWE donate to Sports Legacy Institute:
WWE will be donating $1.2 million to Chris Nowinski’s Sports Legacy Institute to help fund further research in to the issue of concussions and brain injuries. USA Today report that the funding will be spread over a 3 year period…
“Obviously, I think it’s such a huge concern for everybody right now in sports and in the military. As we learn more and more about concussions and what can become of it, I think it’s a problem for everybody,” says Triple H. “We took out the things that … caused the most concussions and the most head impacts…We still hit people with metal chairs, just not in the head anymore.”
Following the Chris Benoit tragedy WWE downplayed the idea that Benoit’s in-ring concussions impaired his mental state and they further distanced themselves from the Sports Legacy Institute during Linda McMahon’s political campaigning, as Chris Nowinski was particularly critical of her. It’s encouraging to see they’re now on the same page.

Michelle McCool Breaks Silence On The Undertake...

Former WWE Diva Michelle McCool has finally broken her silence on the taboo topic of her marriage to The Undertaker. In collaboration with MichelleMcCool.net, the four-time champion candidly addresses her relationship with "The Deadman" in a video blog that will be released this summer. A teaser has been released where she appears to respond to critics attributing her lofty position in WWE to her influential partner rather than her ability to perform.

As noted earlier, the four-time champion ...

Bob Holly Speaks Out – Benoit, Bagwell, Cappotelli Incident

Bob “Hardcore” Holly was a guest on The LAW recently promoting his new book “The Hardcore Truth.” You can listen to the full interview at this link. Here are the highlights…
His friendship with Chris Benoit: For the people that didn’t know Chris, he was the kindest human being you would ever find on this planet. I don’t know what happened, I just honestly couldn’t tell you what happened. Chris was one of the kindest, politest people. I never saw the guy get mad, not one single time. He didn’t get upset about anything. When I was writing the book and reflecting back on him, it was kinda hard because then I started thinking about it again, and it’s almost like it’s hard to believe that he’s not here anymore. Me and him were pretty close; we confided a lot in each other. It was very tough, just thinking about it and talking about it. Back when it had happened, that’s something that you’ve got to push out of you mind right away, because you have to move forward. We’re on live TV ever
