Ex-Gator Charged with Rape and Kidnapping in Utah

Remember Teddy Dupay? The University of Florida basketball player who was dismissed after a gambling scandal in Gainesville some years ago?

Well, he's back in the news...

Dupay, 29, once a popular figure during the Gators' run to the 2000 NCAA men's basketball championship game, has been charged in Utah with rape, kidnapping and sexual assault — all first-degree felonies, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

Oopsie!

According to court documents, the victim - who admitted to a two-year relationship with Dupay - suffered two broken ribs and bruises on her back, right thigh, upper arm and shoulder after she estimated Dupay hit or kicked her 150 times. Yikes.

When questioned by authorities, Dupay said the two had "gotten a little rough," but denied the rape. His position? "How can you rape someone you love?" said Dupay.

I don't know, Teddy. You tell me.

What's wrong for one Billy is right for another?

There's something wrong with the bias held towards CBB programs now. It's a shame how one program will be scrutinized for an action and another will be celebrated.

For A Year And A Half, God Loved The Gators!

Dick Vitale was wrong twice. Lee Corso couldn't get it right the first time, until he followed his own advice. Two years after the Gators Chain Gang started a trend in the Final Four, Urban Meyer picked up where his partner Billy Donovan left off.

The rest is arguably the biggest streak and greatest achievement that will never be surpassed. And so far, that's been proven years later.

Ex-Hoya transfers to Florida

Vernon Macklin, a former McDonald's All-American in high school known at Georgetown University for backing up Roy Hibbert, has decided to transfer to Florida. Even though Hibbert graduated last season, the No.1 freshman in the country, Greg Monroe, was likely to beat out Macklin for Hibbert's spot in the lineup.

NBA Draft: Richard Hendrix Dynamite In Denver?

In the 2008 NBA Draft, the Denver Nuggets have been shown selecting Mareese Speights with the 20th overall pick in several mock drafts. Why draft Speights; a freshman, when you can instead draft a proven leader in Alabama F, Richard Hendrix.

Top 5 underclassmen who should withdraw from the NBA draft

Here's a good article pleading with five underclassmen to not enter the NBA draft and stay a couple more years, for the sake of the NBA and themselves. No. 5 is Lousville's Derrick Caracter, who has already signed an agent, foregoing college officially...so he probably should have read this article first before he decided to go for it.

Some Tennessee Inmates have to Wear Pink to Seperate themselves from Vol Orange

The Elk Valley Times is reporting on a very interesting development. Lincoln County inmates in Tennessee have to wear pink instead of orange . The inmates can all blame Nathan Childress. This bright young gentleman escaped from his guards and ran up the street and just blended in. No one called the police.

Donovan kicks Gators out of practice facility

For the first time in twenty years, the reigning NCAA Champions failed to make the tournament. As you can imagine, coach Billy Donovan wasn't too happy with his team's play. Why not take away their $12 million practice facility for a little extra motivation?

Billy Donovan tears his team a new one

I'd say Billy Donovan was pretty upset about his team losing to Alabama in the 1st round of the SEC tournament. "It's in front of our guys, what it takes to win," Donovan said. "For whatever reason, I haven't brought it out in them. They're not committed to it. But I'm not necessarily really that excited about these guys being sophomores, to be honest. I don't think people change a whole lot, and I don't think you've seen the basketball team change at all this year. So it's hard for me to get overly thrilled or excited."
I have no problem with any coach ripping their team, even publicly, but now there will be lots of columnists, most of whom never played any team sport, who think Donovan went too far, these are 18 year olds not pros, the usual drivel. Just shut it, the guy knows how to win and he has proven he can motivate, if the players can't take criticism they have no future in any career.
