Football. No. 24 Wisconsin holds off Indiana rally 31-28

-No. 24 Wisconsin followed the same old script to grind down Indiana. John Clay ran for 134 yards and a touchdown, Montee Ball scored two TDs and the Badgers held off the Hoosiers' fourth-quarter rally for a 31-28 victory Saturday. The Badgers (7-2, 4-2 Big Ten) have now won two straight and still have not lost to an unranked team this season. Indiana's fading bowl hopes took another hit. The Hoosiers (4-6, 1-5) must now win their final two games - at No. 11 Penn State and home agains...

Knee injury ends season for key Badgers LB

Wisconsin linebacker Mike Taylor suffered a "significant" injury to his right knee against Iowa and will miss the rest of the season.

Coach Bret Bielema confirmed Taylor's season-ending injury on Tuesday as the Badgers relax during a bye week.

Wisconsin lost 20-10 to then-No. 11 Iowa on Saturday. Taylor came into the game leading Wisconsin in tackles (43).

Bielema says since Taylor is a redshirt freshman, he still has three quality years ahead.

Buckeyes follow Wisconsin's script, with a couple rewrites

Join the Doc's game day live blog, covering every game all day long.
Ohio State 31, Wisconsin 13. I think if you'd told the Badgers coming in that they would run twice as many plays as Ohio State; gain twice as many yards; force almost as many three-and-outs (six) as they allowed first downs (eight); and hold Terrelle Pryor below 150 yards total offense and pick him off once while limiting the Buckeyes to one offensive touchdown, I think the Badgers would have taken that game. The W...

Friday Quarterback: It's your Big Ten Eliminator countdown

• Frontrunners: Wisconsin at Ohio State.
No team anywhere can take as great a leap forward in national perception as the Badgers in Columbus, and it must be in their favor that the offense is the most balanced in the country: 217 yards per game rushing, 216 passing. The story of the season for Wisconsin is the steady, competent emergence of Scott Tolzien, who has five touchdown passes in two Big Ten games to one interception and easily leads the conference in pass efficiency. Combine th...

Badger's 12th man (the band) may be out indefinitely

University of Wisconsin marching band is facing "virtual extinction" after a series of undisclosed incidents during last month's visit to Ann Arbor for the Badgers-Wolverines football game. UW's Chancellor, John C. Wiley, didn't go into details, but skimmed the surface saying "the behavior 'can be seen as anything from boorish and offensive to patently dangerous and unlawful.' [with] 'gratuitous vulgarity, sexualized banter and joking, hazing, or other forms of demeaning conduct.'" Key words here are patently dangerous. Only Wisconsin gets patents on their dangerous actions.

Oh boy. The marching band is the lifeblood of the Badger's student section. There's dance moves and words to all the songs, cheer and jeers go with the beat. Most importantly, without the band there will be a dull student section that will give absolutely no energy to the team on the field. What a major blow to the Badger football program, stay tuned for more information as we get to the bottom of this.
