Kragthorpe Makes Will Stein The Fall Guy

Will Stein apparently didn’t know he was going to be the University of Louisville’s starting quarterback until Friday. No surprise. Steve Kragthorpe is adept as keeping everyone guessing.
This has to mean that either Adam Froman or Justin Burke must have taking lots of snaps in the week before the West Virginia game. Or maybe Zach [...]

Don’t Let Your Eyes Deceive You

By Tom Stosberg
Despite what the won-lost record says, the Louisville football team is loaded.
Think about it. U of L has three, maybe even four excellent quarterbacks. Guys who not only can throw but aren’t afraid to run…with pretty good moves to boot.
And speed in the backfield. Victor Anderson and Darius Ashley could start anywhere in [...]

Quick thoughts on Cincinnati, Kragthorpe and the remainder of the '09 season

I've mentioned the numb feeling I have regarding the Louisville football program multiple times over the course of this season. It's the reason behind the lack of stimulating (or at least wordy) postgame and pregame blather on this site.
I still care and I still want the Cards to win every time they take the field, it's just that now, with rare exception, I expect them to lose and am not surprised in the least when they lose by a lot.
That's really all I can say. This su...

The Louisville football program is still a disaster

I tried yesterday to concoct a post that fully expressed my anger and frustration with all things Louisville football, but the sad truth is I've grown too numb to make that kind of concerted effort. I'm tired of talking about Louisville football, I'm tired of thinking about Louisville football and I'm really tired of watching Louisville football.
This season has been everything most of us feared it would be, so instead of going into detail about the state of a program whi...

Dummy's Guide to Tackling: Grab 'em Dreadlocks!

Some football players love displaying dreadlocks or long curls out from underneath their helmet. Some players claim it makes them tougher, some claim it teaches patience, while others do it to pay homage to their heritage. I claim it makes them easier to tackle, so grab 'em dreadlocks!

They might not have started last year, they may not have won the starting job this spring, but they have the skills to change games if given the chance.
