Aaron Craft’s Roommates Have A Twitter Account, And It’s Awesome

osubuckeyes
Yesterday, I took my last final as a senior, thus ending my college career. Yet, that was hardly the highlight of my day, because I discovered the Twitter handle @CRAFTroomies, apparently created by Aaron Craft’s roommates to give us an inside look at the life of the rosy-cheeked point guard.
Craft is arguably the most intriguing student on Ohio State’s campus, adored by girls for his good looks and respected by guys for his lock down defense. His game winning shot in the Sweet 16 against Iowa State cemented his position in the national spotlight. His academic prowess is well documented, as is his all-around awesomeness. Aside from all of this press, little else is really known about the Buckeyes’ leader on the hardwood. He has no Twitter account of his own and generally keeps to himself.
Until now.
The @CRAFTroomies account is still in its infancy, with only 24 tweets going back to April 9th. So far the tweets have mostly consisted of pictures of Craft doing things arou...

Deshaun's decision the right one

Deshaun Thomas had a decision to make, but it really wasn't much of one.

The time is right for Thomas to leave Ohio State and try the NBA. Thomas knew that. Presumably, those he talked to while finalizing his decision agreed.

Thomas never met a shot he didn't like, and it's time he gets paid to shoot them.

The 6'7 Thomas has an NBA body and an NBA mentality, too. Coming to Ohio State as highly-touted recruit and the third leading scorer in Indiana high school basketball history, he probably never saw himself staying in Columbus this long. He needed the three years to mature on and off the court, and with this year's NBA Draft appearing to lack star power he needed to throw his name in.

Thomas is much more ready than he was a year ago, when he considered turning pro after having a big NCAA tournament. It's hard to imagine he could have been much more ready a year from now had he stayed for his senior season. Both history and logic say that when the door is open, prospects should

Ohio State looking strong for 2013-14 season

Five issues and or questions facing Ohio State basketball now that the 2012-13 season is over.
1. Deshaun's Decision
The easy choice as the top question of the offseason doesn't have a definite answer. It wouldbe a surprise -- but not a total shock -- if Deshaun Thomas returns to Ohio State for his senior season. The BigTen's leading scorer in 2012-13 might not be a top-20 pick in June's NBA Draft, but Thomas came to Ohio State intending to use it as a launching pad to the NBA and might not be willing to wait any longer. ohio State should be fine either way. The guess here -- and it's just a guess -- is that Thad Matta expects Thomas to go but would welcome him back. If Thomas does return, Ohio State probably figures as the (very, very early) preseason Big Ten favorite and a top 5-7 team nationally.
2. Coming Back Stacked
Even if Thomas leaves, Ohio State will likely bring back fourstarters plus its potential best offensive player in LaQuinton Ross and the second part of a point guard duo

What happened to The Ohio State Buckeyes? They were Shocked last night & so were we watching

Wichita State came out running and the Ohio State Buckeyes looked like they didn’t know how to respond. The Buckeyes played the worse first half of basketball they played this year in a game that was supposed to see the Buckeyes advance into the final four. Just think if the Ohio State Buckeyes could have made more foul shots. The team’s star Aaron Craft has to be one of the worse foul shooters in team history. When Craft goes to the line you just know he is going to miss. The Buckeyes only shot 31% from the field against Wichita. That isn’t exactly going to get them many wins either. The Ohio State Buckeyes should have been able to beat the Shocker’s. They were out ran. It looked like the Buckeyes lost their legs and weren’t able to keep up with this team that ran all over the court. The Buckeyes took too long to get going. The team played well in March but if we look back to the last 2 games, we wonder why they came down to the final seconds to pull off a win. The real shocker is ...

What can we expect from Aaron Craft & The Ohio State Buckeyes Vs Wichita State?

The Ohio State Buckeyes are going to have their hands full today when they take on Wichita State. Aaron Craft knows how important it is going to be to get his Buckeyes off to a fast start. A fast start is exactly what Wichita State is thinking. Wichita State would love to go out and out-run the Buckeyes. Ohio State has to play their kind of basketball. The team has lived on the edge in the last 2 games. First we saw a buzzer better from Aaron Craft in the final ticks of the clock then we saw Craft pass the ball to LaQuinton Ross who was able to hit a 3 to pull off a win over Arizona with 2 seconds left on the clock. Buckeyes fans know these last-minute heroics can’t go on forever. It would be great to see the Buckeyes go out and dominate the entire game today. If Ohio State continues to extend their life in the final seconds of the game sooner or later their luck is going to come to an end. When the Buckeyes take on Wichita State today they are going to have to keep LaQuinton Ross i...

OSU's LaQuinton Ross hits game-winning three

Jeff Gross/Getty Images Last week, it was Aaron Craft who carried the Ohio State Buckeyes to victory when he hit a game-winning three-pointer with 0.5 seconds left to advance to the Sweet 16 with a win over Iowa State. The Buckeyes got their cold-bloodedness going again in the final seconds on Thursday night in their pivotal Sweet 16 match-up against Arizona. With the clock winding down, sophomore forward LaQuinton Ross hit a bold three with two seconds left to carry the Buckeyes to victory, 73-70. 2013 NCAA TOURNAMENT: Full March Madness Coverage Ross had 17 points on 63-percent shooting for the game as Ohio State advances to the Elite Eight where they will face the winner of the Wichita State-La Salle game.
Aaron Craft - the next Tim Tebow?

He did not turn water into wine at Ohio State's team dinner Tuesday night, but that could be because the Buckeyes are on a business trip.
'Tis the season for shining moments, singing praises and rising stars. Ohio State point guard Aaron Craft hates that kind of stuff, by the way, but Craft has been so good -- and so important to his team's success -- that even the highest of hyperbole and most outlandish of comparisons have a chance to stick. It's not a stretch to say the face of March Madness, thus far, has the cheeks to match the trim on his Buckeyes jersey.
Craft has been at the forefront of a total transformation over the last five-plus weeks for a Buckeyes team that's won 10 straight games heading into its West regional semifinal vs. Arizona on Thursday. When Arizona coach Sean Miller said earlier this week that Craft was becoming college basketball's version of former Florida quarterback Tim Tebow, it may have made some people cringe.
It certainly wasn't a stretch.

OSU Buckeyes coach Thad Matta wants Statue of Aaron Craft erected

Ohio State Buckeyes basketball coach Thad Matta was very excited after the Buckeyes downed Iowa on a buzzer beating shot taken by none other than Aaron Craft. It was though the Buckeyes didn’t want the ball in anyone’s hands but Craft’s. Craft who struggled throughout the game trying to make foul shots, didn’t seemed to be bothered by the fact he was off today. He went up just above the 3 point line and made the shot that would send the Buckeyes into the sweet 16. There was no doubt in the way Craft shot the ball. He made it look easy and he only left .5 seconds on the clock. In his post game interview Matta was asked about the shot. That is when he said, they should build a statue of Craft and place it outside the building. Craft has a habit of coming through in tough situations. He seems to be there when it counts the most. Before Craft sunk the 3 point shot the game was tied at 75 after the Buckeyes built leads as high as 13 points. The Buckeyes were playing some dominant basketb...

The Ohio State Buckeyes are heading back to the sweet 16 thanks to the buzzer beater that Aaron Craft nailed down with .5 seconds left on the clock. The Buckeyes had a lead as large as 13 points in one part of the contest. They got into some foul trouble and let Iowa work the lead down to nothing. With the game tied at 75 with only 29 seconds left in the game, Aaron Craft controlled the ball and worked the clock down to .5 seconds when he hit a 3 that would seals the deal for his Buckeyes. This was a game that didn’t have to be as close as it was. With the win the Buckeyes have won 10 games in a row. LaQuinton Ross was having the game of his life when Thad Matta sat him down. He was controlling everything each time he touched the ball today and if the Buckeyes would have lost this game, there would be some serious questions Matta would have to answer.
Aaron Craft Led Ohio State Buckeyes(18) Past Michigan State(4) Scoring 21 Points.

Thanks to the great work of Aaron Craft The Ohio State Buckeyes beat the Michigan State Spartans scoring 21 points to lead all Buckeyes in scoring this afternoon. What can we say about Craft? This kid is one heck of a basketball players and a proven leader that helps to hold his Buckeyes together. Craft always performs at a level taller than he is. Today he not only out scored every one of his Buckeye teammates, Craft also outscored everyone on the Michigan State Spartans team too. Craft as a Junior at Ohio State, continues to show he is one of the Buckeyes key players. He is to the Buckeyes as important as any player in the teams history. Craft is one heck of a player and today he put that on display having the best game of his college career. At 6’2″ inches tall, the kid plays with the heart of a giant. The Buckeyes won the game by 8 points and Craft out-scored any other play in the game by 7 points. If Craft didn’t put on the display that he did, the Buckeyes wouldn’t have won to...

Elderly Ohio State fan ‘Gangnam Grandma’ busts a move at center court (video)

On Thursday night, the Ohio State Buckeyes hosted the Wisconsin Badgers at the Value City Arena. The game was outstanding and ultimately the Buckeyes dispatched the visiting Badgers squad, winning in double overtime by a score of 65-59. But during a break in the action, the music of PSY began thumping inside Value City Arena. And that’s when “Gangnam Grandma” took center stage and rocked everyone’s socks out with her fantastic rendition of the overdone, overplayed and somebody-please-make-it-stop dance craze. Taking her spot alongside Brutus, “Gangnam Grandma,” who in real life goes by the name of Sandy Flenner, refused to allow the Buckeyes mascot to steal her thunder. She shook what the Good Lord gave her and took to dance like she’s been doing it since the first time she did the Charleston in that Cleveland speakeasy way back when. Well done, Gangnam Grandma. Let your freak flag fly. But let’s not get too crazy, lady. Don’t forget about the Osteoporosis. [via OSU Buckeyes YouT...

Vitale injured by plate-glass window

ESPN announcer Dick Vitale walked into a plate glass window prior to tonight’s ESPN broadcast of the Michigan – Ohio State game at Crisler Arena. The incident was first reported on Twitter by Brandon Castel of Ohio State blog The-Ozone.net. Vitale was attended to by paramedics at the arena. According to our photographer @jimdphoto, Dick Vitale is being attended to by paramedics in the hallway at Crisler Arena. Looks ill. — Brandon Castel (@BCastOZone) February 6, 2013 Vitale, 73, is apparently fine, but he allegedly suffered a cut to his face. The loud, longtime college basketball analyst text messaged ESPN that he was ok. .@aceanbender reported @dickiev was attended to by UM paramedics after walking into plate-glass window. (Vitale texted ESPN that he’s fine.) — Richard Deitsch (@richarddeitsch) February 6, 2013 Perhaps he was blinded by Michigan’s BRIGHT YELLOW JESREYS (there, they call it maize). @CFBSection It was announced earlier today that Vitale will call 2013 Final Four gam...

Ohio St. president's Twitter blunder

Ohio State and Wisconsin both sit at 5-2, tied for third in the Big Ten’s men’s hoops standings, one game behind Michigan and Indiana who are both 6-1. So when the Buckeyes and Badgers face off in Columbus, needless to say, the Value City Arena at the Jerome Schottenstein Center (otherwise known as “The Schott”) will be rocking. Ohio State president E. Gordon Gee tweeted earlier Monday night that he was at the game with a bunch of excited Buckeyes… The only problem – THE GAME IS ON TUESDAY. Gee followed his douchey tweet up with an even douchier one… There is lying among the Ohio State administrators? Wow, shocking. This wouldn’t be the first time (see Tressel, Jim & tattoos).
