Fact: Due to my ignorance of tip-off times in the NBA, and specifically Canada, I didn't realize the game time was 11A in Phoenix and 10A here in Los Angeles. I apologize for the tardiness on a game preview.

Suns vs Grizzlies: The Game in Pictures (a Hairy Tale)

On the night before Thanksgiving the Grizzlies were in the house and the game began with the customary Baiting of the Bear...lead by a Gorilla who would later dress as a Turkey to demonstrate his dunking prowess...

But before the game could begin one player was already having second thoughts...

As the game got underway it was Zach Randolph who summoned something from deep within to help the Grizzlies take an early lead

but soon the Suns would come storming back...

There was a time when the Phoenix Suns bench featured Barbosa plus Diaw and, if it was really needed, a random towel-waver who could check in and play a few minutes replacing someone in foul trouble. Mike D'Antoni has always been a believer of the short rotation, something he's been criticized for (and probably rightly so) over the years. Unlike last week when the Suns came home from a road loss to the Lakers and took Friday off before a Sunday game, today they went hard for a full two hours.
The media are let in for the last half hour of practice which almost always is just guys taking shots on their own or in small gro...

Steve Nash, that’s all it is. If you look at this team (now) and go back to when they had the best record in the West (Conference) when Mike D’Antoni was there, the only constant has been Steve Nash. This is the perfect situation for him. It’s an honor and pleasure for me, living in Phoenix, to watch this team every team. This guy has the heart of a lion, he is unbelievable.

Barkley on Steve Nash being a constant presence on the Suns

Gone are the days when the Suns ran teams off the court with high-paced fun and gun basketball. This version of the Phoenix Suns has already proven to be more versatile, mentally tough and resilient than any of the earlier Nash-era teams.
Asked before Sunday's...

Suns Starters Play Limited Minutes Thanks To Bench

The Suns bench has done more than cheer this season. Their play has allowed Phoenix to go 9 or 10 deep and has limited the minutes played by the starters leaving them fresh to close out games. (Photo by Max Simbron)
