Pacman Jones' house is SOLD

Pacman paid $1.5 million for the house and sold it for $1.1 million at auction in less than 40 minutes. The unknown buyer, an anonymous man who wasn't present at the auction sealed the deal. The sale was contingent upon Jones' agreement to the price, Allen said. Jones' agent and attorney Worrick Robinson said Saturday his client was hoping for more.
Of course he wanted more, he has attorneys to pay.

How will the McNabb/Eagles divorce go?

Answer:
Not as badly as the fiasco in Green Bay with Lord Farve for several reasons. McNabb has no Super Bowl win, McNabb's history of injuries and differences in personality between Lord Farve and McNabb.

You can still buy Pacman's house.

Good news for anyone interested in buying former Titan Pacman Jones' house
The foreclosure sale involving the home of former Tennessee Titan Adam "Pacman" Jones has been postponed until next month.
Attorney J. Phillip Jones, no relation to the football player, has been appointed trustee of the property, and his office said that the sale originally scheduled for Friday on the steps of the old Williamson County Courthouse is now set for July 28.
The office declined to say why the sale of the home on 30 acres, located in a Nashville suburb, was postponed.
Jones has defaulted on the terms and conditions of a mortgage with U.S. Bank, according to a notice of foreclosure sale. Tax records show he purchased the property in July 2006 for $1.5 million.

Favre skips golf tournament therefore he must be coming back

Brett Favre has retired but everytime he does something that seems unusual it means he is not really retired and that he is coming back to play for the Packers. The latest is event is his skipping of the golf tournament at Lake Tahoe in early July and the fact that he gave no reason for skipping it. From the article: "Former Packers quarterback Brett Favre will not be playing in the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament July 11-13 at South Lake Tahoe, Nev. During a conference call Wednesday with tournament officials and two participants, defending champion Chris Chandler and Dallas Mavericks guard Jason Kidd, SportsDay asked about Favre's participation. "Brett will not be attending," said Steve Griffith, a spokesman for the tournament. "We are hopeful he can attend next year. But it turns out he will not be attending this year." In May, Favre told officials he planned to play in the tournament for the first time.
"We didn't get any reason for it," Griffith said, referring to Favre's absence. "It was a scheduling conflict that we don't have details on."

Roger Clemens sells his Bentley to Bret Michaels, yes that Bret Michaels.

Bret Michales is better known for Rock of Love than he is for being lead singer of Poison, now it seems he has made the news again, he's bought one of Roger Clemensc cars to help the Rocket pay his legal bills or something. From Page Six: "Roger Clemens has to pay those mounting legal bills somehow. The former Yankee ace, now awaiting word from Congress on his steroid scandal, has sold his Bentley to "Rock of Love" star Bret Michaels. "Bret is a big fan of Roger's and the car is fabulous," said an insider. "Clemens is apparently selling his lavish goods to pay his legal fees." Michaels was overheard gushing about his new ride Friday at the House of Blues in Atlantic City. Clemens' agent did not return calls."

Mets are class all the way; fire Willie Randolph at 12:15 am PDT

From the SI article: "A preseason favorite to win the NL pennant, the $138 million Mets (34-35) had won two in a row when Randolph was dismissed early Tuesday morning -- making him the first big league manager to get fired this season.
Pitching coach Rick Peterson and first base coach Tom Nieto also were cut loose in an enormous overhaul that was revealed in a fact-of-the-matter news release at a stunning time -- about 12:15 a.m. PDT, nearly two hours after New York's 9-6 victory over the Los Angeles Angels"

More overrated: Favre or Strahan?

Now that Michael Strahan has retired, I guess his ex-wife got married and he doesn't need the money, the question begs to be asked, was he or Favre more overrated?
They have several things in common: Both have one Super Bowl win and one Super Bowl loss; individual records, Strahan the single-season sack record, Favre career TDs and INTs; Peter King has a mancrush on both of them.
Both were great players but both at times were distractions for their teams instead of the leaders the "real media" proclaimed them. They both felt they were the most important guy on the team and both were great with the fans and media. Neither is going to fade away, Strahan iss reportedly headed to Fax and will make a good TV guy, I mean he has to be better than Emmitt and many of the other sock puppets out there and Favre will continue to sell stuff on TV so we will see plenty of their faces.
The best similarity, they are both retired, or they say they are.

Parcells loves Ricky Williams, but Jason Taylor. . .

It has been a strange beginning to the start of the Bill Parcells era in Miami. There has been the well-documented rift with Jason Taylor, or as Parcells calls him "the player" and Taylor's desire to be traded or not be traded. While Parcells has been aloof and inconsistent with the team's best player, he has been almost rah-rah with their most enigmatic player, Ricky Williams. "Once the 11-on-11 drills broke up, concluding with another long Williams dash, the running back pulled off his helmet to reveal a wide grin as he trotted back. A beaming Parcells marched up the sideline, flashed the OK sign and yelled "Thatta boy! There ya go!" They gave each other a fist bump"
Despite the obvious inconsistencies in what he's doing, I have to wonder just why Parcells is so involved in the OTA's, he's not the coach, but then if anyone believes that Parcells isn't doing the real coaching, I just bought a great beachfront house in Destin, Florida I'll sell you.
