Naked in the locker room

I didn't get a chance to see it last week in the Vikings locker room, but I could understand how it could happen. After games we usually get a few min grace time before the cameras start coming in. When they are in there its like everybody trying to get dress and they not stopping jus cuz tha cameras in there. They do interviews when u are half dress sometimes so that's something that probably could happen again.

Sunday's game and thanksgiving

Sunday's game was one of those that's hard to swallow. It's one of those games where everyone goes out there and put it all on the line and you come up short. You have to just try and put that loss behind you and just try to get ready for next. We have a very short week because we play thursday this week so its quick turn around. you really don't have time to sit around and think about the loss since u have to get ready in just a few days.

Minus my family being here, I had a good thanksgiving. My sister has been living with me so she played mom for thanksgiving and cook. I didn't kno what to expect from her at first with the cooking but she stayed on the phone with my mom and dad so I figure it should turn out pretty good...lol. She ended up surprising me because it was a lot better than what I expected.

Great feeling getting a win

It was a great feeling going out to denver and getting a win. Being able to go into the backyard of our division rival and coming out on top like we did is a great confidence booster for us. It was a great feeling to finally be back in the endzone. It was jus a great feeling to know that we had ended a 15 quarter scoring drought.

ps I just wanted to say what's up yardbarker and thanks for all the support.

Basketball

I'm a big sports fan, one of my favorite sports to watch is basketball. I played basketball during my high school days. I actually look forward to playing after football season because it was so fun to me. I was no NBA prospect but I could do a little bit on the court. I was always the guy who liked to dunk every chance I got and I love blocking shots. Who knows maybe when I'm done playing down the road I could look into basketball...lol.

Standing on the sideline eats me up

Standing on the sideline and watching my team play has been one of the hardest things for me to do. When you're jus standing there watching it jus eats you up inside. By us going thru hard times on the field right now it just eats you up that much more. Just standing on the sideline and watching when your team is struggling jus makes you want to run to the locker room and dress out. I think by me never being in this type of situation it's hard to deal with, because you want to be out there and you can't. Going thru college, high school and pee wee league never missing a game it's jus very hard to deal with.

Watching football and Felix Jones

I try to watch other teams play when I can because I enjoy watching tha game of football. I have a lot of friends n guys that I've met who play on other teams so I jus try to check them out n see how they're doing out there. Then I like to see how other teams use tha style of offense that Felix Jones and I ran when we were at Arkansas. I try to keep in touch with Fee as much as I can. It's always good to talk to one of your people to jus see how they doin. Everytime I see him out there do his thing it jus make me smile cuz that's my boy.

Turf toe starting to get better

I've been slowed down the last couple of weeks with turf toe but it's starting to get better. To me turf toe is the worst injury for anyone who plays sport because you can't do anything on your foot without it hurting. It's jus one of those injuries that you have to try and stay off of it until it gets better. So for me that's what I've been trying to do is stay off of it as much as possible. I been in a boot tha past couple of weeks jus depending on how sore or swole it is.

On the road in K.C.

Atmosphere was what I thought it would be last week, but obviously we were disappointed in the results. I got a stinger in my neck and had to leave the game. Everything's fine though, ready to play against Kansas City. I heard it gets loud there. Another big rivalry and their home opener so I'm sure it will be loud and crazy. I guess it will be a little like going on the road in the SEC. All those stadiums get loud, LSU probably the loudest and definitely the most wild. I think playing in the SEC and going to those stadiums helps get you ready for places like KC. I guess I'm about to find out. We had a good week of practice and we can't wait to get out there again.

Here come the Broncos

Here come the Broncos: You can tell the season's about to start just because the intensity has picked up. You always try to practice the same at all times, but there's definitely a little more urgency now that the Broncos are coming. I feel like I've learned a lot about football since I got here just being around the guys and the coaches. They're smart and they know so much about the game you can't help but learn when you're around them all the time. My focus has really been the playbook and learning my pass protections. You always have room to get better but I really feel like I'm getting it down, especially the pass protection. That's been a big adjustment. There's so much technique and you have to be smart. You have to read the defense and know what your assignment is once you break the huddle. It's like night and day between when I first got here til now. Before by the time I figured out who I had the ball was snapped now it's a lot more clear to me and I can see who I have almost immediately. Coach Rathman is such a good teacher of fundamentals and technique. He wants you to be the best at everything you do so he won't ever let you slack. It's a fundamental game, that's what it all comes down to. I've enjoyed learning under him. We have a great group of backs and it's a great feeling knowing that we're one of the strong points of the team. I know we're expected to make big plays and we're going to be ready to do that.

It all starts on Monday night

I can't think of a better way to start my NFL career than playing against the Broncos on Monday Night. I grew up dreaming of playing in the NFL and I grew up watching Monday Night Football. To have my first game on Monday Night is really exciting. I actually grew up a Broncos fan watching Terrell Davis and John Elway and Ed McCaffery. That was my team, but that's all changed now. It's strictly Raiders and Razorbacks for me. I've never been a part of this before, but I can imagine the stadium's going to be crazy Monday night. It's a rivalry game and it's Monday Night the atmosphere is going to be special. The Black Hole reminds me of the Arkansas student section only 10 times crazier. They're always on their feet cheering for you, it's great. You never really know what the rivalry's like until you play in it. I'm looking forward to it. I'm very excited, it probably really won't hit me until Sunday, but I'll know then how big this one is. My family will be there and so will some of my friends from home. I know the Black Hole will be ready and so will I, ready to make some big plays.
