Good news as far as i'm concerned. I don't think enough attention is paid to the baseball draft. My personal opinion is that it should be an event just like the NFL and NBA drafts are.

MetCap 5/7: Mets Pound Dodgers 12-1

METS: The Mets took their frustrations out on the Dodgers in a BIG way! Pounding out 12 runs on 13 hits in a 12-1 rout of the boys in blue. John Maine went 8 1/3 innings giving up 1 run on 4 hits. Dropping his ERA to a even 3. At the plate Ryan Church was 3 for 4 with a homer. 4 different Mets had 2 RBI.

DODGERS: For the Dodgers, well they showed up at least. Brad Penny only lasted 4 2/3 innings giving up 10 runs on 10 hits...OUCH!

MY TAKE: Great way to bounce back after 2 very frustrating games. I was glad to see David Wright break out of his slump with a 2 run double.

Mets Fans/Phillies Fans

We all know if you're a Mets fan you hate the Phillies. Well That got me to thinking. Do you dislike the Phillies fans, or just the Phillies? As for me I just dislike the Phillies. In a lot of ways Phillies fans are just like Mets fans accept for rooting for the Phillies. I mean Phillies fans are just as critical and hard on their team as Mets fans are. Any player knows if they play for either of these teams they better perform or they'll be booed. The Phillies fans have been through all of the hardships just like the Mets fans. Now you could say that about any team, but I see a difference. I mean let's take the Pirates for instance. Their fans expect them to lose, so they aren't near as hard on them or themselves as we would be. I really think Mets and Phillies fans take losses harder then most fans of their team do. Discounting the Yankees, Red Sox and Cubs fans. I don't know I kinda drifted into 2 different topics there. Anyways what's your take?
