Why the Cubs Will Never Win (but at least have fun losing!)

This is who the cubs need to get and he'll take them to the promised land, just like he took the Mavericks! Hey - at least their unis are cool!

Car plows into bike race

I've never imagined what might happen if a car got onto a bike race course in Mexico and it's pretty horrific. You won't believe the photo. this has got to be one of the worst sporting events for a car to hit as - except for the guys in front - you just can't get out of the way or even really see it coming.

Cubs Switching to Mexican League

Honestly?

I can't believe this article in the Sun-Times.

I hope that sale for inflatable air mattresses is still going on at Walmart. All those folks barreling off the Cubs' bandwagon will need something to cushion the fall.
It's bad when your home-town paper starts throwing in punches along with the towel.

Really? Tied for first and it's like this? So what if the division stinks? So what if they've lost more games than they've won in the last month. Now I know what it's like to play in the the AL West - and I LIKE it.

You know what? Go ahead and get off the band wagon. We don't want to be the Red Sox.

Cubs Need to Resign Z

Can you, as the Cubs, risk allowing Zambrano to find greener pastures in a Maddux-esque foot-dragging? Isn't a guy who pitches inning-after-inning, every five days worth the money you'd spend anyway on two iffy free-agent arms you pick up next year to bolster your now ace-less rotation?

I can understand the Trib Co. has bigger fish to fry right now and another $80MM on the Cubbies' payroll might not seem like a good decision in light of their impending sale. Why buy a new transmission if someone's going to buy the car anyway?

I say sign Zambrano now. ASAP. Of course I do. It's not my money. The guy is solid. He is a team player. He's a great pitcher. He has a good jab ...
