Canes increase ticket prices for '08-'09

Faced with losses near $10 million and a reduced payout from the NHL's revenue-sharing money, the Carolina Hurricanes are raising ticket prices for the first time since 2006.

The team raised season-ticket prices in 11 of the 15 seating categories for the 2008-09 season, ranging from $12.50 to $1.25 per ticket. The average increase comes out to $5.25 per ticket, or an additional $225 for a full-season plan. more...
