Florida Marlins at Washington Nationals: Game Report..."The First Pitch From Mike O'Connor..."

 

The first pitch of the game from Washington lefty Mike O'Connor is an inside fastball to Florida Marlins' center fielder Cody Ross that doesn't make it in and is deposited fifteen rows back in left field for a leadoff homer and 1-0 Marlins' lead. O'Connor issues a one-out walk and a gives up a single, but gets through the first without further damage. Cristian Guzman singles and steals second with one out in the Nationals' first.
