Former Jet OL Wade Smith Signs With Chiefs
Former Jet Guard/Center Wade Smith was signed by Kansas City Monday. Smith never saw much time on the field but played as a backup for the Jets, mostly taking snaps when Center Nick Mangold needed a play or two off.
Smith provided some depth, but by releasing him and Adrian Jones, it seems a clear indication that the Jets have some sever disparity between their starters and backups. Guys like Clint Oldenburg, Will Montgomery and Jacob Bender might have potential, but are they ready to step in should an injury arise?
