Fuller Remains Lead Candidate for Nickel
Vincent Fuller went down last season with dislocated right shoulder on Dec. 16 at Kansas City. Though he didn't miss any time, he didn't play to the level he did earlier in the season. Though there may be some competition in training camp for the spot, it remains Fuller's to lose. "Right now Vinnie Fuller is our nickel, he played well for us last year," DB coach Chuck Cecil said. "When he got hurt it dropped off a little, but that was understandable, he had a dislocated shoulder. We always have an open competition and Eric King is going to be in that mix. So is Chris Carr. But for right now it’s Vinnie’s job and we’ll see what happens." Last season, Fuller had two INTs for two TDs.
