See all articles from 'Punch Kick Choke - The MMA Resource' http://www.punchkickchoke.com Kneebar Escape: ShrimpingHere is the shrimp escape to the basic kneebar- Video: http://www.youtube.com/v/YbJyK91vx3M Basically, since the point of the kneebar for the attacker is get your knee above his hips, intuition should tell you that getting the knee out quickly should be a good way to escape this crippling technique. Steps: -Before the kneebar is fully extended, post your hands on his hips/butt/leg- whatever you can firmly post on. -Shrimp out explosively, and create enough space for you to use your other leg to push against your opponent. Yes, it's a fairly simple technique, however I cannot stress enough how important it is to respond immediately, because only the attacker has a death grip on your leg and locks in the kneebar, how incredibly difficult to escape.
