Mike Williams is looking for a job. His next one may not be in football

The poster boy for Lions draft ineptitude during the Matt Millen era, Mike Williams, has likely burned his final NFL bridge today. BMW, the 10th overall pick of the 2005 draft, was cut by his 3rd team in 2 years, the Tennessee Titans.

As bad as Millen's drafts have been over the last 7 years, and numerous draft busts to have come through Detroit, Mike Williams could be considered the worst of the lot.A There were red flags everywhere about Williams, his weight and lack of speed being the 2 biggest. The Lions drafted him anyway.

Big Mike Williams back in happier days.

Days Detroit fans would prefer to forgeta€¦

Thanks to an ugly combination of an unearned sense of entitlement, a total lack of desire, leaving school much too early, missing a year of play, having not a hunger for football but a hunger for pizza, wanting to play at a weight more suitable for an offensive tackle than a wide out, and just plain being overrated, Williams career quickly flamed out. He has to be considered one of the biggest busts in Lions history. And they've had more than their fair share.

After the Lions gave up on Williams, the Oakland Raiders, normally a haven for rejects, could get not through to him. In what was likely his last NFL chance, neither could former Titans coordinator Norm Chow, who was Williams' offensive coach at USC.

Williams "career," such as it is, appears to be over at the ripe old age of 24. He can now buy all the pizza and Twinkies he wants with the $10.5 million the Lions forked over in guaranteed money.

By the way, that works out to $283,783.78 per catch.
