Packers nix veteran QB idea


Any thoughts that the Green Bay Packers will be interested in signing or trading for a veteran quarterback to back up Aaron Rodgers this year can be dashed.

According to Adam Schein of Sirius NFL Radio and FOXSports.com, "Packers coach Mike McCarthy told us on Friday that the team is not in the market for a veteran quarterback. This is Aaron Rodgers' team and he will be backed up by two neophytes in Brian Brohm and Matt Flynn. Brohm is a perfect fit in McCarthy's system." more...
