Penn State WR Bell Dismissed From Team

The troubles for Penn State just don't seem to stop this offseason. They continue to be in the news for outside the football field as wide receiver Christopher Bell was dismissed from the program after threatening a teammate with a knife.It is unclear if Bell will be dismissed from the school as well, as reported by The Associated Press: According to the Centre Daily News, Bell, 21, spent Monday night in jail after threatening a teammate inside a dining hall and had to be restrained by members of the coaching staff.Penn State released a one-sentence statement that said, "Chris Bell, who had been previously suspended from team activities, is permanently removed from the team and will not be reconsidered to be a part of the team in the future."Bell was suspended from the team after his name was mentioned in connection with an assault in October.During the attack, coaches Michael McQueary, Kermit Buggs and Richard Anderson were able to restrain Bell and take the knife away from him.
