O, Perez! Dodgers 6, Nationals 0

Casey Blake helped out his new team almost immediately, going 2-for-3 and scoring a run, the only Dodger outside of Derek Lowe with multiple hits. The Dodgers got all their offense against ex-Dodger Odalis Perez, who really hasn't been good since 2004; his left-handedness keeps getting him jobs, though. Matt Kemp and Nomar both homered off Odalis, Kemp's a two-run jack in the first. I was happy for the Dodgers to get the win but not in a way that seemed, no matter how temporarily, to validate Ned's scheming. more...
