Some Quick Thoughts

Mets: The Mets are rapidly becoming an unlikable team. I'm working on a Mets manifesto, but the short story is that they're become the early 'oughts Yankees -- loading up on overpaid old guys. Their massive payroll should keep them in the playoff race for the duration of the year, but at this point, it's the only thing keeping them in it. Lop $40 million off and you're looking at a .500 or worse team. more...
