Sorenstam beats Creamer in playoff at the Stanford International

Annika Sorenstam out-dueled Paula Creamer in the final round of the Stanford International, winning after a one-hole playoff and locking in her spot in the season-ending ADT Championship.Notching her 71st career win, and second of the year, Sorenstam shot 70 in the final round. Creamer took the lead with back-to-back birdies on the second and third holes. Sorenstam fought back with a birdie on six to tie for the lead. She took the top spot back after Creamer bogeyed the seventh hole. Following Creamer's birdie on the 11th, Sorenstam slipped with a bogey on the 13th hole. Creamer couldn't hold on as she bogeyed the 17th hole, setting up the playoff. Sorenstam pared the sudden-death hole to Creamer's bogey. more...
