Tournament Preview: Stanford International Pro-Am

  The LPGA is playing the Stanford International Pro-Am on the Soffer and Miller Courses at Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort & Club in Aventura, Florida.  This inaugural event is the first pro-am tournament on the LPGA Tour since 2001. The tournament partners 112 golfers with amateurs for a 54-hole event with a cut of the top 70 professionals and 20 teams after 36-holes of play.  The final 18-holes will have the professionals battling it out for the individual title.  The first-time event boasts a strong field with 46 of the top 50 golfers set to play, including Annika Sorenstam, Suzann Pettersen and Paula Creamer.  Hall of Famer Nancy Lopez will also be teeing it up with other top golfers like Karrie Webb, Cristie Kerr and Morgan Pressel. more...
