Schalk Burger suspended

Unbelievable and inconsistent. Schalk does not have a record of being a dirty player, tough absolutely but not dirty. I think this is really unfair.

As a 'kiwi' I am wondering why the NZ ref didn't just do his job properly, yellow card him on the field and then he wouldn't be cited off the field. A four week ban is ridiculous and it is 'committee' decisions like that that are ruining the game.

AS AN IRISH RUGBY FAN I HAVE TO SAY IT IS GOING TO BE THE CASE IN THIS WOLD CUP THAT PLAYERS WOULD BE BETTER OFF CONFESSING THIER SINS TO THE REFFEREES. IF BURGER AND VICKERY HAD BEEN CAUGHT BY THE OFFICIALS DURING THE GAMES THEY WOULD HAVE ONLY GOT YELLOW CARDS. INSTEAD THE ENGLAND CAPTAIN MISSES THE MAIN MATCH IN THE GROUP FOR A FOOT TRIP AND BURGER GETS 4 GAMES . CRAZY

Well, both the Ref and the two touch judges said after the game that they felt the penalty given was enough. And they said that even after seeing the replay.

But anyway, yesterday morning the suspension was dropped to TWO matches only, so he will be available for the Quarter Final should SA make it there.

Tonight is the big game! Can't wait.
