Stars TV schedule set
The local broadcast schedule has been released for the Stars' second-round series with the San Jose Sharks.
Versus has exclusive U.S. rights to Games 1 and 5. The network is also scheduled to broadcast the other five games in the series but will be blacked out in the Dallas area because either F......

Zubov is smiling
He's not ready to jump back into the lineup yet, but he is very optimistic about how his recovery from a sports hernia injury is going.
He practice with the team Wednesday and is looking much better.

Special teams talk
A couple of interesting numbers on the Stars and Sharks.
The Stars have drawn the most power play opportunities per game in the first round of the playoffs (6.3) and scored the most power play goals at 10 (1.6 per game). The Sharks, meanwhile, have handed out the fewest power play opportunities ......

Hey, the Stars might as well plow through the Pacific Division. This is just like the old days when you had to win your first two series within the division just to move on.

Cue the theme from Jaws
The Stars will face San Jose in the second round after the Sharks' 5-3 win over Calgary. The Flames tried to rally in the third but got just once goal.
Game 1 is 9 p.m. Friday in San Jose, according to Versus, which has the broadcast.

Stars-Sharks schedule released
Here's the breakdown with the national TV only.
Versus has exclusive U.S. rights to Games 1 and 2. Local TV info, including HD broadcasts, should be available later today, with FSN or My 27 carrying Games 3-7.
All times are Central. At last report, tickets for Games 3 and 4 were still availab......

Opponent watch: First period
San Jose and Calgary are tied 1-1 after the first period of a Game 7 that will determine who the Stars face in the second round.

California dreamin'
Looks like the Stars will be heading to the heart of the Silicon Valley for Game 1.

Zubov skating, ready for practice
Sergei Zubov went through a spirited practice today that included about half the Stars' roster and a bunch of the extras in some heated scrimmage action.
