Give Hoff his due
I don't get the whole David Hasselhoff cult of celebrity stuff, but it's time to embrace it.
The Hoff – which is a ridiculous thing to call someone, but whatever – is going to get Arizona football a lot of publicity. And that can't be bad.
As many know by now, Hasselhoff's daughter, Taylor Ann......

Cats continue to hit big in practice
There is hitting going on.
The University of Arizona football team has not backed down from contact throughout fall camp.
There has been plenty of contact as it has been welcomed by the UA coaches.
The thought process is that maybe it will make the Wildcats more physical this season.
"We hav......

FORT HUACHUCA – Starting sophomore running back Nic Grigsby has taken ownership of his mistake that got him tossed from a scrimmage at Arizona Stadium last weekend.
He came up firing a punch at Devin Ross after the cornerback had brought down Grigsby with a low tackle.

Triple-A Bison have Wildcat feel
If a University of Arizona baseball fan were to have a favorite minor-league baseball team, it should be the Buffalo Bison. The Triple-A team has three former Wildcats, including two recent additions.
Outfielder Trevor Crowe, a 2005 first-round pick, was promoted last week after heating up at D......

The University of Arizona football 2008 recruiting class has everybody reporting on Saturday, except for offensive lineman J'Marcus Webb.
The big 6-foot-7, 310-pound tackle from Navarro (Texas) College, expected to challenge for a starting job immediately, will not enroll.
"We are not counting......

Cats poll ranking meaningless, now
The University of Arizona three times has been picked to win the Pac-10 title. Two of those times the Wildcats never got past fifth place.
Coach Mike Stoops and the gang shouldn't be worried they are seventh in Thursday's Pac-10 media poll released in Los Angeles.
The Wildcats just need to ......

Four-star linebacker Trevor Erno left Tucson last night for a flight back to the Los Angeles area, but not before committing to the University of Arizona football team.

UA picks up safety for '08 season
It took just one look to convince University of Arizona football coach Mike Stoops that safety Anthony Wilcox was good enough to play for the Wildcats.
And it took just one look at the UA campus last week to convince the Compton (Calif.) College defensive back to choose the Wildcats over Florid......

Cats heading to Camp Chuca, possibly
Camp Chuca has a good ring to it.
The University of Arizona football team is in the preliminary stage of trying to move three day of fall camp out of town.
It is not going to be the recreation of Camp Cochise near the Mexican border town of Douglas that former coach Dick Tomey loved so much......

Cats get tailback Booth for '08
The University of Arizona football team picked up an insurance policy in signing tailback Nick Booth, or a legitimate possible starter on Friday.

Baseball bias hurts Pac-10--again
Favoritism exists in college baseball, that can't be denied.
Two-time defending national champion Oregon State won't get a chance for the repeat as they were left out of the field of 64, while Oklahoma and Arkansas were admitted to NCAA baseball playoffs.
The Razorbacks didn't even qualify to ......
