Vegans at Lambeau?
I'm not sure how I should feel about this, but PETA recently named Lambeau Field one of the top five vegetarian-friendly stadiums in the NFL. While it's nice to see the historic stadium recognized, should we be worried that they're serving too much tofu up in brats and beer country? (h/t to Railb......

The Colored Glasses Come Off
Green & Gold punch is a powerful concoction a?" it must be to have kept Lambeau Field sold out through the 1970s and 80s a?" but for this season, at least, that elixir's spell has worn off for me. The loss last Sunday to the Panthers was a little too much and there's a little [...]...

A Very Special Loss
Carolina gained 163 yards on kickoff returns yesterday. It's not the only thing that factored into the Packers' loss, but it has been a problem for a long while now. I hope Mike Stock is looking through the help wanted ads today. He needs to be replaced after the season if not before. Jeesh! ...

Wanted: New Punter
A long-needed change is finally coming: Derrick Frost and his 30-yard punts will no longer be a worry this season. ...

Big Easy? Big Mistake
Honestly, I don't have too many great thoughts about the Monday night game a?" or rather debacle a?" in New Orleans, and I'm certainly not going to run through the litany of mistakes the Packers made in that 51-29 blowout loss to the Saints. Have I lost all hope? Of course not (the Green & [...]...

Cheesehead TV Lives Up To Its Name

A Successful Bear Hunt
Good feelings and warm fuzzies abound across Packer Nation today. And why not? Mike McCarthy finally got his first meaningful win over the Chicago Bears, a season-saving victory that put Green Bay right in the thick of the division race. Getting back to .500 before Thanksgiving never felt so good......

No Goats Today
I suppose some might try and make Mason Crosby out to be the goat after missing what could have been a game-winning field goal in Minneapolis today, but there is plenty of blame to go around today in the 27-28 loss to the Vikings. From start to finish this was a horrible outing for the [...]...

And Then The Defense Faltered
The stage was all set for an upset. The 4-3 Packers had gone toe-to-toe with the undefeated Titans for sixty minutes and a victory in Nashville was there within their grasp. But in the end when it counted, the defense failed to stand tall and come up with a stop. Now don't get me wrong, the [...]...

A Titan-ic Game This Week
While taking in the gospel brunch at Stubb's BBQ was a mighty fine way to spend the Packers bye week Sunday, I'm glad to say it's finally time to get back to football. As I write this post, Green Bay's next opponent, the Tennessee Titans, are tied with the Colts late in the third quarter, [...]...

Favre: Total B.S.
Brett Fave responded today to a FOX Sports story Sunday about him passing information to the Lions before the Packers played Detroit in Week 2. Peter King reports that Favre told him via text message the story is "total bs." Or, really? Just like those reports that your agent was sniffing around ......

Good Conquers Evil
Beating the Colts yesterday was certainly a huge boost for everyone in the Packers organization and for all of us fans, but I promise you no one was more happy than Mrs. BratsNBeerGuy. My wife hates Peyton Manning with the "burning passion of a thousand suns," so the game for her was quite litera......

Why Are Things Looking Up?
The Indianapolis Colts are coming to Lambeau Field on Sunday and the odds makers are giving a slight edge to the men in light blue. Yes, the combination of Peyton Manning, Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison is pretty much unstoppable and yes they ripped the Ravens for 334 total yards and 31 points,......

Stanched The Bleeding
I never thought I'd be happy about a 3-3 record, but the win yesterday in Seattle was certainly a huge relief. Okay, I'm not totally thrilled, but it's way better than being 2-4 with the Colts coming to town this week. Beyond the victory and ending the three-game slide, what was most satisfying w......

Don’t Panic!
It's probably becoming too much of a cliche in the blogosphere to say how REAL LIFE has gotten between the blogger and his blogging (and I'll spare you the tedious false modesty of apologizing to my "one or two readers"), so maybe I should use the excuse that I suspended this blog to deal with [...]...
