The video above was captured with a camera strapped to the chest of Chris Bilbao. Bilbao, a Portland, Oregon native, was skiing with friends in British Columbia's Monashee Mountains when an avalanche engulfed and buried him. He stayed buried for almost five minutes before he was discovered and shoveled out by his friends. The video is incredible and terrifying at the same time, it reminds me of the video we posted a few weeks ago of the skier who lost his balance and fell off the side of a cliff while wearing a helmet cam. After seeing these two videos I don't think I'll be skiing any big ass mountains anytime soon. I'll stick to the bunny slopes thank you very much.
