Watching sports is one of the world’s most common and universal means of enjoyment, no matter what country is involved. Sure we gravitate more toward the NFL, NBA and MLB in the states, while our overseas counterparts usually love soccer, but even in the U.S. there’s a market for soccer fans with the MLS.
Compared to the sports climate less than just two decades ago, MLS soccer is big these days and produces quality games. Unfortunately, just like the rest of the sports we all love it’s also subject to poor officiating.
There’s no better example of that then what just happened yesterday in a game between the New York Red Bulls and the Portland Timbers, where star player Thierry Henry was given a red card and ejected for…patting an opponent on the back of his head.
