Manchester United are looking to stop any rumour of a sale for Dimitar Berbatov by extending his Old Trafford contract, according to ESPN.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has been impressed with the way the Bulgarian has performed recently and is looking to extend the contract. Berbatov has scored four goals in two games against Fulham and Wigan and is expected to start against Blackburn tomorrow. United have a one-way option of extending Berbatov’s contract by 12 months and will take advantage of that in March.
