Inter have continued their run of statement wins against their toughest opposition on paper for 2023, whilst their form in the “smaller” matches remains a big question mark.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who suggest that Nerazzurri fans will be starting to get used to this topsy-turvy state of affairs from their team.

Inter have now beaten all of Napoli, AC Milan, and Atalanta since the return from the winter break, keeping clean sheets against all three.

There increasingly appears to be a “big game Inter” who have found the right formula for approaching these kinds of matches and getting the needed results.

Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri have dropped points against Monza and Empoli in Serie A, whilst they needed extra time to get a nervy win over Serie B side Parma in the Coppa Italia earlier last month.

Even wins against the likes of Hellas Verona and Cremonese have not exactly come off the back of the most convincing performances.

If prior to the winter break, the Nerazzurri were reliable value for emphatic wins against the minnows of Serie A but struggled when put up against their direct rivals at the top end of the table, now the situation appears to be completely reversed.
