The hunt for the replacement of Hakan Calhanoglu continues, as Maldini and Massara line up another potential reinforcement from Germany for the playmaker position.

The list of players who could become AC Milan’s new attacking midfielder is somewhat lengthy, with the likes of Nikola Vlasic, Josip Ilicic, James Rodriguez and others talked about in the media.

And now yet another name can be added to this list, according to a report from Milanlive.it. The player at stake is Julian Brandt from Borussia Dortmund, a versatile player able to play both as an attacking midfielder and on the wing.

The 25-year-old is specifically admired by Milan’s sporting director Ricky Massara, who has been following the player for some time.

The attacking midfielder is reportedly valued at around 25 million euros and Dortmund would be willing to let him leave. However, the Germans do not seem willing to accept a loan deal.

Sarri’s Lazio are also tracking the player and would be ready to make a decisive move to land him in Rome in the event of Joaquin Correa’s sale.
